Ciatrick Fason RB Florida 6’ 215 Jr.
Ciatrick Fason was an elite high school recruit three years ago, and he played his role as a backup for two seasons, and came through with a big year this season. His first two seasons, Fason ran for 610 yards on 93 carries(6.6 ypc), for 4 touchdowns. He added 11 catches for 142 yards and 3 touchdowns. As a true junior this season, he took over the starting job and came through with 1,267 yards and 10 touchdowns, while averaging 5.7 yards per carry. Fason also finished 3rd on the team in receptions with 35 catches for 266 yards and 2 touchdowns. Fason is married with two children, which definitely played a role in him declaring.
Fason brings a lot of talent to the running back position. He’s got good size, he runs hard, and will fight for extra yardage. He also has great speed, can make people miss, and has the ability to break the long run. Fason shows very soft hands out of the backfield, and should be a threat at the next level as a receiver. Even though he was only the feature back for one season, Fason has been very durable, playing in every game as a Gator.
Ciatrick Fason has a lot of upside to his game. He is an all around threat that can hurt you in many ways. He looks a lot like former Gator Fred Taylor. Had Fason returned to school for his senior season, Fason could have been looking at a Top 15 selection next year, but this year, he may not go in the first round. He still needs a little work, but he should be a solid 2nd round selection, and could move into the late first with quality workouts.
