The Chargers have strength throughout their lineup, but a couple of positions are worth adding to. At wide receiver, Eric Parker, Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd, and Kassim Osgood make for a fairly good group, but the team could look to bring in another talent at the position to bolster the quality and experience of the unit. Vincent Jackson appears ready to be a full-time starter, but he and the other young receivers are still developing. A veteran free agent, or a top level receiver may be worth looking at in the offseason.
The offensive guard position isn’t a desperate need, but it would probably be a good idea to add depth at the position. Behind starting guards Kris Dielman and Mike Goff, there isn’t much in terms of talent or quality support. Also, Goff has recently hit thirty-one years of age, making it a good idea for the Chargers to bring in depth for the offensive line.
The Chargers may also look to add depth at the linebacker position. The team seems to relish the opportunity of using their linebackers to apply pressure, so extra talent at the position is beneficial to ensure that the unit has enough depth to overcome any potential stumbling blocks.
