The offensive line is still a point of need for Dallas this offseason. Starting with the offensive guard position, the team will look to add talent, depth, and youth. Right guard Marco Rivera will turn thirty-five later this month and Kyle Kosier may not be the permanent answer at left guard. The line allowed 37 sacks during the 2006 season, suggesting that changes are in order and the draft may have the answer.
One other area that the Cowboys will strongly evaluate is the wide receiver position. Terrell Owens has brought the expected controversy with him, and some are left asking if he will be back for another season—it strongly appears that he will be back at the moment. Even though it seems likely that the team won’t cut Owens, Terry Glenn will be thirty-three in July and Patrick Crayton will need to develop consistency with more playing time. The position isn’t a dire need, but Owens’ favor with the staff is an immense factor in regards to what the Cowboys will ultimately do on the market.
