Wrotto began his career at Tech on the defensive line. In three seasons at DT, he had 45 tackles, 12 for loss, and seven sacks. He was switched to offensive tackle before his senior year, and started at right tackle in 2006.
Wrotto has all the talent to be a standout guard. He has good size and very good strength. He shows the ability to push defenders off the line in the running game and clear a path for his back. He is also a good athlete who has shown the ability to block on the move.
With just one season of experience on the offensive line, he has a lot of developing to do. He also projects better to guard at the next level, and will have to adjust to that move as well.
Wrotto has a lot of upside at the next level. He is very talented and with some patience and quality coaching, could become a very good guard in the NFL. He needs a lot of work, and may not be able to play right away, which may hurt his stock at draft time.
