Wide Receiver
The Bills have a definite need at wide receiver. While Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish are athletic, the Bills need a receiving option with size and strength to take pressure off of others, make big plays when called upon, and benefit the team in the red zone, where winning one on one match-ups are ever crucial. Too often, Evans’ speed was easily negated by defenses because of his size but bringing in a tall talent would open things up for him and add a weapon the team sorely needs.
Defensive End
There’s also a lack of depth at the defensive end position and questions surround the current pair of starters. Buffalo would be best served by drafting a young quality defensive end prospect to spell Aaron Schobel and Chris Kelsay at times, and to act as insurance. Schobel and Kelsay were nowhere near impressive against strong teams, so the Bills need a force on the defensive front.
Cornerback
Cornerback Jabari Greer played well at times, but too often he was beaten downfield. The rest of the defensive unit didn’t always help that situation, but the Bills will still look for someone to challenge for Greer’s starting spot.
Tight End
While Buffalo is carrying plenty of tight ends, they all lack the qualities to be pass-catching threats. Having a target here to make defenses think a little more would make life a little easier on the unit as a whole, including those wide receivers.
