McGlynn earned a starting job midway through his freshman season, and never let go. He was a four year starter at right tackle for the Panthers.
McGlynn brings some versatility to the field. He played right tackle in college, so he has experience on the outside, but his talent may move him inside in the pros. He also has experience as a long snapper. McGlynn has solid size, and shows the ability to move defenders off the line of scrimmage. He sets up quickly and low, to get leverage and clears out space in the running game. Once he locks on to you, he does not stop until the whistle blows.
McGlynn is only an average athlete, and lacks the ability to play outside full time. He does not move well laterally, and is not a good enough athlete to get out and block on the move, picking up a defender.
McGlynn is a tough lineman that could move inside to guard and be a solid player. His ability as a long snapper could be key. He can provide a number of roles for his team and could be a valuable backup in the NFL.
