Scandrick was a three year starter for the Broncos, earning a starting nod as a true freshman. He earned Frosh AA honors after tallying 50 tackles and a pick for the season. As a sophomore he had 42 tackles and an interception on the year. Scandrick declared after a junior year in which he tied a career high with 50 tackles and set a personal best with two picks.
Scandrick has just about every physical tool you could want in a corner. He is an excellent athlete with the quickness and agility to easily follow receivers in and out of their breaks. He also has excellent speed and can run with anyone down the field vertically. Scandrick is an excellent special teamer, showing a knack for blocking kicks in college.
Despite being a three year starter, Scandrick has only average ball skills and is not as big a playmaker as his talent would indicate. He had only four interceptions in 39 games. He has been able to make plays because of his speed and athleticism and may need time to develop his skills.
Scandrick has big time upside but needs some work to realize his potential. He needs to improve his ability to pick up the football and make a play on it. He should be able to provide an impact on special teams right away, allowing him to help his team out while developing his skills as a corner. He is a guy that could really surprise on day two if he can develop his ball skills.
