Tevaga was a standout as soon as he moved into the starting lineup, earning freshman All America honors in 2004. Tevaga started 31 straight games entering the 2007 season, and was a member of many pre season AA lists.
Tevaga is nasty in the run game. He is physical, tough, and once he locks on to you he will not let go until you are on the ground. His strength at the point of attack is top notch, and he has the ability to dominate defensive lineman. His power and intensity allow him to consistently open up holes in the running game for the backs behind him. For a player his size, he is a decent athlete and shows solid lateral movement in a short area to help in pass protection.
Tevaga can have problems with quick lineman that gain a step off the snap. He does not always recover fast enough to recover. He probably would not fit in a scheme that wants him to get out and block on the move, as he does not move very well over an extended length of the field.
Tevaga is a powerful run blocker, and would fit well in a power running scheme. He is limited in other schemes but could carry high value for a team that utilizes that scheme. He will not be a prime pick because of his lack of versatility but he could be a quality guard in the NFL.
