Dockery was a reserve lineman as a freshman, but moved into the starting lineup as a sophomore. Six games into the season however, he tore his ACL and missed the rest of the season. He bounced back as a junior in 2007, reclaiming the starting RG position. As a senior he earned honorable mention All Big 12.
Strengths
Dockery has very good size at guard. He has decent height and a thick build, and should be able to play immediately in the NFL. He is strong and shows the ability to control defenders at the point of attack, and get movement off the line of scrimmage. His strength and short area quickness allow him to hold his own in pass protection.
Weaknesses
Dockery does not move very well, and that will limit his impact in the NFL. He does a good enough job moving with his man, but he will not get out and pull and has a hard time adjusting to stunts. He also needs to play with a higher intensity level and display his power more consitently.
Future
Dockery is a decent mid round guard prospect, because he has the size and strength to be a solid right guard in the NFL. He projects best in a power running scheme, because he does not move well enough to get out and block on the move.
