Juaquin Iglesias WR 6'1 210 Oklahoma 4.56

By: Robert Davis

Iglesias made a quick transition to the college game, making an impact as a true freshman for the Sooners. He caught 19 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns that season, showcasing his big play ability. He avoided a sophomore slump, producing 514 yards and two touchdowns on 41 receptions. He also took a kickoff back for a touchdown, while averaging just under 26 yards per return on the season. Iglesias had an even better junior season, hauling in 68 passes for 907 yards and five touchdowns to go along with a kickoff average of over 28 yards a return. He emerged as one of the best targets in the Big 12 as a senior, hauling in 69 balls for 1,092 yards and ten touchdowns.

Strengths

Iglesias just makes plays. He has been a big play performer as a receiver and return man throughout his career. He has very good quickness and shows the shiftiness to make defenders miss and big up big chunks of yardage. Those traits should allow him to return kicks in the league and have success. Iglesias is tough and willing to operate over the middle of the field and shows the ability to find a soft spot in the defense and get open. He has excellent hands and will catch anything near him, and has the body control to make the difficult grab look easy.

Weaknesses

Iglesias may not have any explosive physical traits that carry over to the NFL. He is not lacking in any area, but he has only average size, decent speed, and he may not bring the big play ability to the NFL level that he has shown in college.

Future

Iglesias is a player that will show up every week and catch everything thrown his way. He may not be a true gamebreaker, but he has the all around tools to impact the game in a number of ways and that versatility will definitely be a boost to some NFL team next year. Iglesias had a solid combine that should put him somewhere in the last half of the second or third round.
