Lions and Cardinals Battle for First Overall Pick

The loser of the Cardinals - Lions game on Sunday will have the inside track on the first overall selection in the 2007 NFL draft. If the draft were held today the top five picks would be held by the following teams: Arizona, Detroit, Oakland, Tampa Bay, and Tennessee.

C'mon Cardinals! They really badly need Joe Thomas and he could be a candidate to be taken by the Lions.
I really don't see any top-5 locks for a defensive player, so most likely Joe Thomas will go to one of these teams.

The Lions franchised Jeff Backus (LT) last season and if they end up with the 1st pick, don't look for them to do that again.
