Unreal, losing hope for the man already? Makes absolutely NO sense at all. The guy is a hard worker and willing to learn. You don't trade someone with his type of potential after one year. _________________

unbelievable...you CANNOT give up on a 2nd Round pick going into his 2nd year. Especially when we'll get like a 4th rd pick back. The only thing that makes sense to me is that he is requesting a trade... _________________ "You look up and you see us shining down on you...." - Lupe Fiasco |

Wow. Never wanted him anyway, but he showed the work ethic to win me over into believing he had a shot. Very wild move... _________________

I doubt he is the one requesting any trades. But maybe he is after Cj Spillman was with the 1st team, while Mays was with the 2nd team. Just horrible news either way. _________________

Maybe they want more safeties with coverage skills which isn't Taylor's forte. If that is the case why waste the kid's time when he can catch on elsewhere as an in the box safety? And why wait so long that his value is diminished?
It could also be that they have a ton of faith in Reggie Smith and think that Goldson might be signing as his marked decreases. _________________ Welcome to the 9ers Q!

Exactly, hopefully he is on the roster and contributes this year. _________________

You mean like the fans already ready to give up on a first round pick in Anthony Davis after 1 year? Also it is a new regime and if he doesn't fit then why waste the kid's time? It's better than fitting a square peg in a round hole which has been the past 7 years. _________________ Welcome to the 9ers Q!

You are blaming me for Ed Donatell saying that Taylor Mays is a perfect fit in his system? Yeah...okay, buddy. Grow up. |

I was never very high on Mays either, especially when people were calling him a top-10 pick, but I think that he can become a good safety in the right system. With that said, I was rooting hard for the Niners to grab Terrence Cody when they were on the clock. |
