Considering trading this into Gamestop. I can get 30 bucks for it if I trade it in towards another game. I'm strongly considering it. |
if you like basketball games, nba 2k12 is awesome. they just released a patch and looks like it fixed almost all of the bugs and issues the game did have. I picked it up the other day for 40 bucks brand new. |
Can you have a created team in franchise mode? I want a Pittsburgh NBA team.... |
Not sure, but I'll be playing in about an hour when I get home from work.. I'll let you know _________________

I'm pretty sure that you can, but 2k's "create-a-team" is incredibly bare-bones and completely lacking. I think they've had the same template since like 2k3 |

If they wanted to, they could over haul everything.
Big grip for me besides gameplay stuff, is the offseason and rosters. I hate hate hate potential. It's the biggest joke. They need to revamp all of that and just get rid of potential period. _________________

Complain about madden all you want, but there is no video game that is exactly like real life. The blocking assignments and blitz pickups are never going to be perfect no matter who makes the game. For the first time in years it actually takes some strategy to play this game and you can't just cheese your way through it online. Say what you want about Madden, but this year they released a quality game, (that most of you bought and will continue to buy) and for the first time in a few years their sales increased so most people agree with that. _________________

I like the idea of potential more than the implementation. Not everyone that plays in the NFL will become a superstar. Most will be lucky to become average. I get that. That's what the potential is supposed emulate. However, if your C rated WR has 1,200 yards and 8 TDs he should progress higher than the 80 his potential dictates. His potential should rise to a B or something. I always leave the "Player Edit" option open and adjust them myself. I know I shouldn't have to but it is what it is.
MOST problems in this game are fixable by the player. _________________

Yeah I leave the edit player on too but it's disappointing if I have a guy who has a D or F potential but plays because of injuries and does well then goes down like 40 points in everything. They just need to fix it. I agree with you on how people play. And there should be busts in the 1st and 2nd round too. I think I'm getting too involved by basing it off real life stuff haha _________________

I don't like fixing things on my own. I want the game to get an accurate rating, because I don't want to make his too high, and make Franchise Mode too easy and unrealistic. _________________

The tackling on Madden 12 completely blows all past games away. But other than that, the game is still really lacking.
EA's only doing this because they're trying to extend it so they can make games for the next 10+ years. _________________

I really hope 2K doesn't make a football game. I don't want them to ruin my football games, along with my baseball games. _________________

The competition wouldn't hurt. I mean even a bad 2k game gives Madden some competition, whereas right now they have a monopoly. _________________

So you'd rather complain?
The game is FAAAAAR from perfect but some of the things people complain about CAN be fixed. I don't understand... _________________

No, seriously. If I have a player with D potential, and he's level 74, at lets say RB, but he has a great season, with 1500+ rushing yards, and 500+ receiving yards, who am I to determine what areas he grew in, and by how much? By doing that, most players are going to rate the player too highly, just because he's on their team. It just kills the realism that people play for.
It's no different when I have to edit a player, change his position to one where he fails at, just to get a trade to go through. It really kills the fun for me. _________________

I agree. Instead of potential just increase the ratings of players who perform well. Kind of like the madden updates that occur every week. _________________ (MLB)=A's, (NFL)=Raiders, (NBA)= Warriors
