Congratulations to Von Miller of the Denver Broncos for beating out Aldon Smith of the 49ers for defensive rookie of the year honors. 11.5 sacks and 64 tackles was enough to hold off a late surging Smith to claim the award.

Could have gone to him or Smith. Congrats to Miller. _________________

Came here to post this, pretty cool. Congrats to Von.
Maybe the most swag rookie duo ever?

Both deserved.
Congrats. _________________

I will admit Cam can pull off glasses better than Von. _________________

I hope you're joking. Aldon Smith was great but Von Miller deserved to be the DROY. _________________ Cleveland Browns Forum Hall of Fame Inductee

2.5 more sacks does not equal being a better overall player... Both were great, but it was not robbery in the least bit. I would have really loved to see what Miller's stats would have been like if he had not broke his thumb with 4 weeks left. Our defense completely fell apart after that.
Aldon won me over this season without question though. And i was by far his biggest hater... Both will be outstanding players for a long time.
Big congrats to Von! 2nd year in a row the #1 and #2 picks won the awards. _________________

Wrong choice. Aldon was .5 sacks away from rookie record. While not starting the whole year. _________________

Such a shame that the voters can't appreciate 3-4 DE's. J.J. Watt was the best defensive rookie in 2011. That is a scientific fact. _________________

Takes a ton of talent to be able to run into wide open lanes when Justin Smith takes away the attention of offensive lineman. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |
