I went with Patro and Crewzer. Very good match up and there is absolutely nothing between them. Tex would be extremely difficult to score goals on however. The back three with Zanetti and Carlos Alberto as wingbacks and Tigana holding in midfield is quite daunting for opposing teams. I do think they would really struggle to score goals though. _________________

My vote being for Team 2 and here's the opinion.
Team 1: I guess that it's asking far too much for Zanetti to play roles in both the offense and defense from where he's positioned. He might really have to when Team 1 doesn't have a very proven ball distributor or midfield ball winner. Carlos isn't likely to buffer a three man backline from where he's been positioned here. Ballack had the CAM role at his peak and that is where he's set with this formation. He's not the kind of midfielder who will likely win the ball against the stronger defensive midfielders, it may require it with Tigana set having to buffer the defense. They will not likely own the midfield very often. The upfield is set for a great push forward and Zanetti or Carlos are more than capable. Great spacing and Team 1 will have a great counter push when on offensive, although most of Team 1 players are very finesse.
Team 2: They haven't a great playmaker either and it's interesting to imagine the best obvious link between the midfielders and the forwards. The strongest of links would be Donadoni. The best thing about it being is that he doesn't have to often buffer this defense that is already well manned, he's more than capable of this with his pace. Facchetti can provide a very strong forward push from the backline and him going on offensive may seem alright when counters are countered. They could win the midfield from positioning and getting to balls first. Gento and also Davids would be required in the formation to do both the roles. The frontline and CAM being very strong to score goals if given the ball. The Facchetti push and Donadoni link is important and they do have the good capability of some amount of goals from the formation.
