Quote:
Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno faces drunk driving charges after getting pulled over by Denver Police on Feb. 1, FOX31 Denver has learned.

According to the citation, Moreno, 24, was driving a Bentley convertible when he was pulled over on southbound Interstate 25 near Quincy Ave. for going as fast as 70 miles per hour in a construction zone.

The posted speed limit was 45 mph.

"We take the incident involving Knowshon Moreno very seriously and are thoroughly reviewing this matter," the Broncos said in a statement to KDVR on Monday. "Our organization will continue to gather information and closely monitor this issue while the legal process runs its course."

Speeding in a construction zone...not a good idea. Doing so while intoxicated, an even worse idea. Have to wonder how this bodes for his future in Denver.

Looked on rotoworld and he's only due $855k in base salary this year.

McDaniels was the worst HC ever.

Now he is the Patriots OC.

Thats why the Patriots lost the SB.

From the league or the law? Usually the league isn't too hard on first timers. If anything, they'll fine him. In the court of law he'll get an attorney and plead out to something small.

Also, apparently his license plate reads:

SAUCED

What a moron.

What a butthead.

I meant from the league more than the law.

John Fox never met a running back he didn't like
Until he met Knowshon Moreno.

For a guy who's partial first name (know=Knowledge), that is incredibly stupid for him to do.

DUI's are not cool. He didn't just put his life in danger, but others as well.

Hopefully he'll get alot of talk about this from Denver Coaches/Teammates/Family.

Just keeps adding more reasons to why he will be released.

I always liked Knowshon. Sad Why couldn't you have been a beast?

Bronco fans why has he been such a disappointment. Why does he suck?

I'm not a Bronco fan, but it's obvious why he sucks. He's always hurt and doesn't have speed. His best attribute is his balance, but with his agility and quickness always hampered by injuries he can't make people miss or glance off him at this level like he did in college.

I remember thinking how he was going to be the next great RB in the NFL, based on what he did for the Bulldogs. He was next level when playing in college, against SEC level talent no less. Great runner, instinctive, good wiggle moves, hurdled a few guys at times, great hands in the passing game...he looked like a near-complete RB (save for that extra gear that allows RBs to take off in the open). This guy has been a massive bust at the NFL, and this isn't going to help his case.

I see him as roster fodder for the remainder of his career, always a #2/#3 type who gets a few carries, just to give someone some rest. Any thoughts of him being a star are now long gone.

If this is this first time he ever did anything wrong, then he is unlikely to get suspended by the league (although with Goodell you never know for certain, so a one game suspension might be possible, although very unlikely).

The greater problem is that if he ever does something wrong in the future, he will be facing a 3 - 4 game suspension, and would then be only one screw-up away from possibly losing an entire year
