Josh Barr, who covers recruiting for the Washington Post, says that his sources say that it looks like Diggs will commit to Maryland.
With how much misinformation and indecision there has been around him, I'm not going to believe anything until he actually signs. But just the fact that we got into competition for one of the top 10 or 15 players in the country is a sign of just how ridiculous a job Mike Locksley can do recruiting. _________________ "The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day.” |

Wasn't he the one that snagged Benn for Illinois of all places?
Evidently New Mexico didn't like his recruiting style though |

I'm gonna be at Looneys tonight, so we'll see lol. I go to UMD.
Edsall is an awful coach, but I love Mike Locksley. He's an amazing recruiter. Diggs was at the UMD/UNC basketball game last Saturday and you could tell he loved it. The student section was cheering for him the entire time.
Maryland actually has talent, our coordinators last season, however, didn't. It's a shame that Danny O'Brien is transferring, because our RB stable looks to be solid, and if Diggs commits here, we'll have a nice receiving core.
Our team isn't bad talent wise, but Edsall and our OC/DC combo last year were appalling. _________________

Yeah, Locksley got Benn (and I think a couple others from the DC area) to Illinois. _________________

SEC have to dumb down their defenses, so they only have one read, the B1G defenses have extensive playbooks. A lot of SEC players, talk a while to last in the NFL because they are not accostomed to a the larger playbooks. B1G players often don't play early because they have more sophisticated/diverse playbooks. Look over the past 10 years at these so called dominate players from the SEC and why they havn't been much of anything in the NFL, but you always see a player from the B1G in the NFL constantly and will continue to be. |
Care to provide some actual evidence of any of this? I've read a lot of ignorant statements, on these boards, but this might be the topper. |

Our team isn't bad talent wise, but Edsall and our OC/DC combo last year were appalling. | Is DOB for sure transferring? I know that word got out the other day and that he tried to quiet the frenzy by saying he'll announce his plans after the weekend, so is there any chance that if we get Diggs he reconsiders? I can't blame him for wanting to skip out on Edsall, but I'm also worried that his ordeal might be scaring Diggs off. Best case scenario is that they both somehow stay, but I'm worried we end up with neither and that they're somewhat connected.
If anyone could re-recruit DOB to Maryland if he's not already dead set on leaving, it would be Locksley.
Also, if Diggs is going to CP to announce at Looney's, he's straight trollin if he's committing to the Buckeyes or Gators. _________________ "The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day.” |

For those who missed it, Stefon Diggs' ceremony begins at 6 p.m. but he's not expected to announce until around 9 p.m. |

#Maryland it is for Diggs |

5-star WR Stefon Diggs has committed to #Maryland. Huge, huge miss for #UF. Not landing an offensive playmaker is a setback for the program |
