So if Tebow has a 50% chance of getting the ball to the WR, and Hill has a 50% of catching it....
That doesn't look great. It'd be one thing if Decker and Thomas were consistent guys on the short and intermediate routes to let Hill run deep, but none of these guys are known for consistency. |
What you talking about. They are consistenly horrible. |
What are YOU talking about? Decker is consistently horrible, I'll give you that, but did you even watch Demaryius Thomas play at all when he returned from his achilles injury? Apparently not.
Demaryius Thomas is the only player on our team that knows how to catch the ball. He's a legitimate Deep Threat due to his sub 4.4 speed, and 6'3 230 size and body control. We could use another speed guy, sure bit it wouldn't hurt to find a move the chains guy.
The only short routes Thomas excels at are slants and curls. Not to mention the threat he is in the screen game. _________________

What? Decker was great when he had a decent QB that could throw actually starting (Orton), but fell off when Tebow became the starter seemingly due to no chemistry with Tebow, the ball coming off of Tebow differently, difference from righty to lefty, etc. Thomas was fantastic at the end of the year when he finally recovered from his achilles injury. Thomas also had the chance last year to practice with Tebow due to both of them being back-ups and working together so they seemed to have good chemistry and Thomas was used to Tebow throwing him the ball. So I'm not really sure what you're talking about.... _________________ Broncos-Bulls-Cubs-CU-Blackhawks |

The very same. Ironically enough, Jason Hill was deactivated in the game vs the Jets too. | He missed the game due to injury. Even though he missed time at the beginning of the year and was cut with quite a few games left(while they tried to make him the scapegoat for Blaine's ineptness) he had 3x the rec TDs the next leading WR had. _________________

Yep. Looks to be inconsistent but has some potential. just needs to put the work in. | He wasn't inconsistant at all. He had a lot fewer drops than Mike Thomas(the other starter for most of the year), he had more rec TDs than every other WR or TE. And almost led the Jags in rec yards while he missed a ton of time.
He is a very good route runner. He can get open and keep the chains moving. He was clearly the best WR on the Jags, but Gene Smith cut him to have a scapegoat for the league's worst passing attack. He foolishly gave Mike Thomas a bigger contract than the one Jordy Nelson ended up getting earlier during the season, and would have looked even more foolish if he cut Thomas. _________________
