I really like getting the game. The team needs a lot of work with the young players.

Slippery slope though. If you recall, two of our young, promising players, Ryan Williams and Greg Toler, went down for the season in preseason games. And that's when we played 4.

That is very true but there is only so much you can learn. Sometime you just need that game time knowledge even if it only a training game..

Eh. Injuries happen, what're you going to do about it? Not like we don't have the best S&T coach to help prevent them.

Pey Pey vs. Brees 2'll be fun for the one quarter they play.

Haven't seen you around in a while Chg, what gives?

That's kinda my point. Injuries happen enough as it is, add an additional game to that, the HOF game of all things where players are gonna want to be out there at least for a while, and it's even larger a risk. I don't like 5 preseason games in that respect.

I doubt A-Dub ever gets a sniff, and honestly he does not deserve it, great player or his era, but never the best. Never really all that consistent nor has he put together a series of elite seasons. There are safeties waiting that have a far better resume than Wilson could dream of (Kenny Easley for one).

Wilson is a Ring of Honor lock. He will have a banner at UofP, but he is not going to be inducted into, nor should he ever be inducted into the Pro-Football Hall of Fame.

http://blog.azcardinals.com/2012/02/29/hall-of-fame-game-more-flagstaff-time/

Another Benefit is the team can spend more time in camp. Teams are allowed to Report 15 days before their first preseason game. This 'could' lead to the Cards getting an extra 8 or 9 days in Flagstaff compared to the usual.

Article says Whis likely won't use the whole time, but an extra 4-6 days is likely.

That could be huge when installing new defensive packages and plays and also if installing new starters, Free Agents or Rookies. Finally the benefit the extra camp time has on Quarterbacks is huge, especially when trying to determine a starter between two candidates.

This will be pretty cool. Having a national TV game plus the extra training camp time will be excellent.
