Staff
-General Manager: TheOsprey Will make all of the final decisions and is in control of everything ranging from submitting trades to making draft picks. However, this position weighs equally amongst the staff in terms of opinion and everyone’s say should be accounted for before he determines the best route for the team. Each member will greatly influence his decisions.
-Assistant HC/GM: Tatupu 2nd in line to the GM and assists the GM in all areas. He will explore trade options around the league and all trade offers are directed through him to then announce in the war room for discussion. If the GM is unavailable the Assistant GM is able to make draft picks and post UFA bids. Only the GM and Assistant GM have this ability. Becomes the active GM in the absence of the nominated GM.
-Head Coach: SoS Has a key part in all decisions, but his focus is mainly on the team itself, rather than looking for trade options, etc… The draft board and player targets should be of importance to him as adding players he views as a fit for his system is critical.
Offensive Coordinator/Scout: imani This person runs the offense and therefore holds a lot of weight on all offensive acquisitions made by the team.
Defensive Coordinator/Scout: Shazor This person runs the defense and therefore holds a lot of weight on all defensive acquisitions made by the team.
Team Agent: TheDude + dotmotion This person is in charge of maintaining and keeping tabs of the salary information of the team. At all times the team must maintain a budget in regards to the annual revenue the team brings in. The responsibility for correct figures will lie in his hands and he is the financial guru of the team. A 53 man roster must be maintained as well.
-Director of College Scouting: Eyas Helps decide needs and works with the national scouts to develop a big board for the draft.
-President of Player Personnel: hawkman Is responsible for developing a free agency target list. Projecting trades with other teams and reviewing players on all levels both college and pro.
-Director of Media Relations: Will report to the writers with feedback and information relative to the news of what is happening with the organization.
-National Scout: klyon // chip Will evaluate draftable players. This can be position specific or not. RB scout will look into RB’s, LB scout will look into potential LB’s to add to the team.[/b]

Seems like the Patriots just don't recognize a fair deal or want to "win" every deal. Sometimes, you just gotta take the deal on the table instead of peeving trade partners by trying to negotiate up every offer. |
Yea, it's quite annoying. Last time we tried to move up to #63 for Trumaine they told us they didn't like our deal because they weren't winning by enough points. Oh well, works out well for teams that do like the value. |
If they're gonna try and "win" every trade, by ripping off trade partners, they're never gonna make any deals. _________________ "People say you should always do the right thing, but sometimes there is no right thing. And then, you just have to pick the sin you can live with." -Ig Perrish |

I wouldn't say "ripping off", they just try to pinch pennies too much. They don't even have a 5th round pick to begin with. _________________

You did the right thing by backing away. We're not in a position where we "have to" trade up, but it would be nice to get the best value players, if we can. If you wanna negotiate with some other teams that's fine. If we land Robinson, great. If we don't, we have other targets. It's all good. _________________ "People say you should always do the right thing, but sometimes there is no right thing. And then, you just have to pick the sin you can live with." -Ig Perrish |

Yea, I agree. Like when I was trying to move up into the 1st round, I made them an offer that favored them by like 25ish points and they wanted us to include more. That's just totally turned me off and I ended up getting lucky and making a better trade with Jacksonville. _________________

Yeah I'm ok with sitting and waiting. There are other players at that position I still like _________________

Completely agree. I want Robinson really bad, but I'm not going to compromise our draft to do so. Plenty of quality guys sitting here in the early 4th. _________________

Umm, I haven't been quite caught up with all this, but we managed to sign Vincent Jackson, draft Still, Tannenhill, Johnson and Curry. Insane.
Oh, I'm not sure, but is any team even close to how many threads we've gone with this? We should get a reward for it. _________________

Cowboys are on #4. Pretty sure the Eagles just hit #4 as well. We're definitely in the top 5 though, maybe even top 3. I'm gonna count each team's page count at the end of this process and rank them. _________________

Have we made any progress on that Bears trade? | It wont happen, they wont take just the 5ths, and I'm not really feeling moving a 4th for him. _________________
