http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7672173/2012-free-agency-peyton-manning-favors-denver-broncos-arizona-cardinals-sources-say

Via Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen, the Cardinals and the broncos appear to be the "two likeliest landing spots" for the former Indianopolis qb. The Cardinals recently invested a hefty 63.5 million dollar contract over 5 years for Kevin Kolb after they traded a second round pick and pro-bowl corner Dominique Rodgers Cromartie for him. The Broncos current starting quarterback ,Tim Tebow, has the highest selling jersey in the entire NFL and had just lead his team to a playoff overtime victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild-card round.[/url]

He should go to Arizona, but I would love to see Tebow gone.
Should have gone to Miami.

If this is true, Ill be shocked if he goes to the Broncos.

Zona has pretty much every advantage in this case, at least at face value...

-Dome team in nice weather
-Better offensive talent including an elite WR
-Young talented defense with alot of upside.

I think the Chiefs would be the smartest move based on where they are as a team overall, but the Cardinals are more appealing than most of the teams going after him IMO, esepcially the Broncos.

If he goes to the Broncos, Ill be very interested in hearing his reasoning. Arizona absolutely gives him the better chance to succeed at this point.

I don't get why he "should have" gone to Miami. You realize if he's in the AFCW it's more likely that he will make the playoffs continuously and thus a better chance at an SB? Plus we have $50M in cap room. Some damage can be done there.

I would like to see him in either Miami or Denver.

I swear at least half of your posts are just you quoting someone without adding anything else.

Not hating, but come on....at least add something to the discussion, even if its just a small thought on the matter.

I thought the cheifs would be a good fit as well, they have a nice trio of WRs and a defensive minded coach.

I'm not complaining by any means, being a cardinals fan, a cardinals fan who was against the Kolb trade I should say. This is great news for me. My biggest problem when the trade was made was not losing DRC, or the 2nd rounder...it was the fact that we would be stuck with an average QB for 3 years.

I'm glad to see Whiz is realizing his mistake sooner rather than later. And hopefully he learned a lesson. Even when you feel desperate, don't overpay for a nobody. We won more games with John Skelton as our QB last year...we should have just started him day one.

You mean the two places he visited?

Haha, this is just (barely) speculation.

This is the first time that I quote a person since at least 1 month....

Arizona seems to be the best situation for him. I don't think he goes to Denver simply because of weather.

It's sounding more and more like the Broncos are going to trade Tebow if they end up with Manning. I read via Schefter that the Jaguars are a likely team for Tebow and that he wouldn't be release but traded. I'm really interested to see what his trade value would be.I'd try to go 4rth and 6th and if they wouldn't bite on that maybe a 3rd.

The Tebow situation will be interesting if Peyton decides to play for Denver and I think it has a very real chance of happening, I tried to decide on which would be the better fit and it's a tough decision.

Arzona: Elite WR, Young but talented defense, Good weather, Have retractable roof just like Indy did, doesn't have to get used to the lesser amounts of oxygen playing in Denver.

Denver: Elite LT protecting Peytons blind side, weaker division, they have a lot of cap room and Peyton could help recruit some free agents.

Doesn't he want to play in a warm weather city? Based off this, I have to think Manning's going to be a Cardinal...

I find this extremely suprising given that he hasn't even met with the Chiefs or Dolphins yet. I figured he'd at least meet with the bigwigs and tour around.

If it's between those two teams, I give the advantage to the Cardinals. They'd have to re-work the O-Line but it's do-able. I assume (although I could be wrong) that they'd cut Kolb and hope that Skelton (or another QB via the draft) develops under Peyton. They'd re-work Levi's contract and cut some veterans to clear some cap space.

I wouldn't be surprised if Peyton took a little time to think about it. Especially if he's thinking about Arizona or Denver. It's not like either of those teams are going to go after Flynn. He'd just have to make a decision before the draft.

I'm surprised by these choices. The cardinals because I saw Manning staying in the AFC, so he wouldn't be in his brother's conference, and because of the fat Kolb contract/trade. The Broncos because I thought they finally committed to Tebow for next year. I for one do not want to see Tebow benched, and hate the idea of two of my favorite (non-homer) QBs on the same depth chart.
