Shocked that both Miami and KC aren't currently in the running.

I think is his best bet is Arizona. Fitz with Warner was a one man wrecking crew. I'd imagine that would be the case with Manning if not more so.

Well as someone already stated, Kolb's bonus is due in less than a week and I heard that Arizona gave Manning a deadline. So while I assume he may have wanted to see Miami and KC, there isn't much time to waste and it sounds like he visited the possibly best locations for him.

I've thought Arizona was the best fit for him (and the team that could most use him - look what they did with Skelton) for quite a while now. Manning to Fitzgerald is going to be amazing if Peyton is up to even 80%.

If he goes to Denver I'd keep Tebow and if I were Tebow I'd be Mannings shadow and learn all I could, work on my mechanics and then in 3 years step back in and continue whatever Peyton has started

I'm very surprised that Manning might not even go an visit Miami or Kansas City.

If it's down to Denver and Arizona, both have positives and negatives.

If he goes to Denver, I can see Tebow going to Jacksonville. If he goes to Arizona, you can bet that Kolb signs with Cleveland.

I still think it's comical that everyone dismisses Denver like there's no interest from Manning there at all.

He has a good relationship with Elway and John Fox. Bowlen > Bidwell. Denver as a football town trumps Arizona. The weather in Denver isn't awful, that's a huge misconception. It's Arizona, but it ain't Nome, Alaska either. Zona has Fitz, Denver has significantly more money, primetime potential...etc. We have a better LT and the room to get Wayne, Clark, or whoever else, and we have a good DC and the room to add more defensive talent.

Denver is as viable a landing spot as Arizona.

I've written at length about why I doubt Denver's legitimacy in their pursuit of Peyton but nobody is dismissing it. It's obviously one of the top choices. It was his first visit and there's something alluring there. In the end - I don't see it happening but it's not a done deal. Denver does have a lot of cap room and a better LT but there are a lot of variables here. Everybody is just speculating about what they would do if they were Peyton based on what they've heard from various sources about what is important to him.

I read a rumour today that had Tebow being traded to Jacksonville. There's no reason to release Tebow because his cap hit isn't that big and I can't see him making a big public stink about sitting behind Peyton but he very well could be traded. Jacksonville was rumoured to be interested in Tebow before and could be the marquee draw Shahid Kahn is looking for. It makes sense except for the multi-million dollar QB already there that would have to sit behind Tebow.

Don't want to nit-pick the title. But two likeliest landing spots =/= narrowed down to.

I want a camera on Larry Fitzgerald if and when he finds out the news that Peyton Manning is his next QB.

And yeah, I wanna see Manning to Fitz too. Two of the most genuine, hard-working guys in football.

I can understand why you don't want him. the jags already have a crappy QB who is in way over his head, they don't need another. Actually, tebow might be the one QB who would be a downgrade from Gabbert.

Just a hunch but I imagine the one thing hurting Miami's chances would be the fact that they have to travel to play Indianapolis this season. I don't think Manning wants that.

2013 would be fun though if he went to Arizona and stuck for more than one season. They would be scheduled to travel to Indianapolis that season too.

It's really not a Favre situation around here though. The vast, vast majority of people are simply grateful for what Peyton did for the Colts, sad he has to leave, and wish him well in the future. Honestly I imagine he'd get a standing O upon entering Lucas Oil. The man is a god in Indiana.

Agreed, I don't think there will be any ill will against him. I'm just not sure Manning wants to deal with having to face the team he had played with for so long and he was really emotional in his press conference.

It probably doesn't have a whole lot to do with it but I wouldn't be surprised if played a slight role in him not being all that interested in Miami.

Tebow in Jax = ticket/jersey/merchandise sales like they've never seen before
