In addition to the Colts, free agent OG Evan Mathis is reportedly drawing interest from the Redskins

Well this is bad news. But yet again, how the hell do the Redskins have this much cap space to overpay 3 receivers, potentially Evan Mathis, and also pay their draft picks?

Before the penalty it would have seemed possible but it just doesn't make sense after the penalty.

This must mean that Mathis' demands are high but not ridiculous.

Even with the penalty they still had like 15 mil to play with.

Lulz.

Makes Nnamdi's 5/60 look that much sweeter.

Seriously. Jerruh is to DB's what Andy is to LBers.

Nnmadi is here for 5 years and $60m. Only $25m of that is guaranteed. I wonder how much guaranteed money Carr got.

Aren't we sitting on something similar right now? Not saying I want the FO to go all Redskins.

But we have similar flexibility right?

After removing Jammal Jackson I've got Eagles at about 15.3M in cap room; again, probably a little high and doesn't include Cole extension

I'm glad they spend enough to not get another pass rusher

I'm really starting to think Mathis is a goner from the Eagles.

Yeah, all team do. It's just who has the best lawyers really and capologists.

If the Eagles really wanted to they could sign Mario Williams and have space left over.

I don't believe Trent will count 12 million against the cap, I think thats just the potential of the deal and he won't see most of it. 15 million guaranteed is pretty average.

The cap can get extremely complicated.

If the Eagles were in discussion with Mathis he wouldn't be traveling around.

Eagles playing w fire when it comes to Evan Mathis. Don't think there was any way he was going to Indy or Wash, but Balt is another story.

Agreed. I'm not getting a good feeling about re-signing Mathis, in which case I would like to know what their back-up plan is...

I just can't understand why we are "taking care of our own" while others are signing new FAs, and we somehow fail to take care of Mathis in that process. Confused
