so in putting together the draft order I found a problem, we usually do the last 2 rounds after the NFL draft (for good reason) so either we can do the FA draft first or we can start the rookie draft and do the first 8 rounds then do the FA draft then come back and do round 9-10 after the NFL draft.
Any ideas? |

So if we started the Free Agent draft on Wednesday our schedule would look like this. (if we had 2 hours for the first 5 rounds and 1 hour every round after that)
FREE AGENT DRAFT
Round 1
March 21-23
Round 2
March 24-26
Round 3
March 27-29
Round 4
March 30-April 1
Round 5
April 2-4
Round 6
April 5-6
Round 7
April 6-7
ROOKIE DRAFT
Round 1
April 8-10
Round 2
April 11-13
Round 3
April 14-16
Round 4
April 17-19
Round 5
April 19-21
Round 6
April 22-23
Round 7
April 23-24
NFL DRAFT (April 26-28)
Round 8
April 30-May 1
Round 9
May 1-2
Round 10
May 2-3 |

Yup we usually have several rounds(I think 4) of the rookie draft after the actual draft has completed. I think we should keep that. _________________

That looks good to me. But there can be no stalling when it comes to getting started. _________________

2 hours for your pick... when would the hours be for picking?
I think we should start the rookie draft first, because who knows if we will need to extend time limits or adjust for circumstances or what not. If we have finished and we still have time before the NFL draft, we can start the FA draft. _________________

I do lean towards ruskie's idea more. If we mess up timings with the rookie draft then we lose a lot more than if we do the FA draft afterwards. Also we do usually have 8 rounds before the actual draft then 2 afterwards plus Undrafted FA IIRC. _________________

I'll take the Green Bay Blizzard as I think they're the furthest away from me in draft order.
I also have a later round pick (from ravens I think) so I'll find out when it is so the order can be updated. _________________
