Enrages Rule: The longer an argument lasts the odds of someone calling another "Hater" approaches 1.
Where is Enrage, i miss him. Hopefully if he deployed he is safe.
Back to the topic at hand.
Calling anyone a "Hater" is stupid, not only has everyone provided a reason to not want Tebow on the team, but it also does not add anything to the conversation, Can be a personal insult, is often used as a last ditch effort when people run out of arguments for that person.
"Oh you have successfully argued every point i have made about Tebow? Well your just a HATER."
It's unnecessary and stupid. To be frank. |
No it's really not when you're discussing Tebow. There are people with BLIND hate for this guy. Blind Hate. They hate him for all the wrong reasons.
Those people are haters. Sorry if the word isn't from your generation, but it's real part of mine. |
Whether you believe it or not, and whether it is part of your generation, it has no place here, as it adds nothing to the conversation. There are many other sites where you can use that type of reference in a discussion. I don't want to see that here, because it shows a lack of respect and devalues the conversation. |
Listen, I'm not calling anyone in here specifically a hater. I'm talking in general. That word applies perfectly to the Tebow situation for a lot of reasons. There is a blind hate for the guy. If you can present a argument as to why he's not a good QB, then please do. But stuff like he can't throw or his mechanics are too poor, are lazy and tired excuses. To me at that point you are just hating.
I don't see the big deal here in this context. If I was just sitting here not providing an argument and calling people on the other side of the fence haters. Fine get upset.
But I have defended more players on this board then just about anyone. I always provide a clear and well input analysis when I can. I'm not some angry poster using internet slang to over ride a posters comments.
Just want to be clear about that. If I have any other concerns I will PM you. _________________ Welcome to Minnesota, Greg Jennings.

Also this comment is completely one sided. He called me stupid, but you over ride that because you don't like the word hater? Please. _________________ Welcome to Minnesota, Greg Jennings.

I'm kind of getting tired and fed up with it. There's no reason for posters to go after each other personally! None! It's evident that people have strong opinions about Tim Tebow...Christian Ponder...Spielman and Frazier, etc...Strong opinions are fine, and CAN be articulated in a rational and respectful way.

I love how if any other player only played well for a 1/4 of games on average no one would want that player, but Tebow does it and he's the next Hall of Famer. _________________

C'mon everyone! We can do better than this! As on MOD has already stated, let's keep the conversation about Tebow, rather than Tebow fans or Tebow detracters!!! |

Why are we talking about Tebow, anyway. He's not a Viking & he's not gonna be a Viking. Why does he get a thread? _________________ Remember when the Vikings passed on Dan Marino because we had Tommy Kramer? ahhh, good times.

| Tebow will probably never admit it but John Elway looks like Gary Busey. |

cant wait for tebow to get traded.. so theses pointless threads in a forum for teams he will never be on go away...
u want reasons why tebow is a junk qb try a 48% completion percentage.. he may not throw interceptions(mostly due to a lack of attempts) but his horrible fumbles more than make up for that.. in this division the vikings would be down 35 pts to the other 3 teams before tebows "4th quarter magic" began because he is god awful for 3quarters
man these threads get this forum nowhere _________________

In another thread VD put it well and while I can't quote him, the gist of what he said was that it's difficult to go from 12-4 to 6-10 to 3-13 and not have conversations be a bit more negative than they were when we were 12-4. I agree with that, but I also believe that this community is bigger than a couple of disappointing seasons and that we can raise our game a bit and treat each other with a bit more respect. I'm not singling anyone out at all - the frustration expressed by folks is valid - but let's remember to treat each other with respect and dignity, even while disagreeing.
That is all. _________________

Exactly...unfortunately the only way these type of threads stop is at least one superbowl win...until then we clearly won't have a capable qb. _________________

here we go with words getting put in our mouths. All I have said is he is young and he deserves time to develop over ponder. Also he has played well in whole games. Examples against us, raiders, steelers, 1st game against patriots. you also can't say he did bad in some of the games where they didn't allow him to throw. KC game 2-8 (3 drops). You can't say that is a bad game because they didn't allow him to throw. _________________ All in for the underdog vikings making a push this season.

another post bashing him. Ponder only completed 54% he didn't do that much better. Why with us would we be down when I'm sure when the broncos were 1-4 nobody would say the broncos were a better team than us. Actually its not due to attempts if you watch the games he was taking care of the football all year accept when he started forcing some throws at the end of the year. He also did not play bad for 3 quarters every game. Also there were some games were they didn't allow him to throw. This is what makes people call someone a hater when they just bash someone _________________ All in for the underdog vikings making a push this season. |

Winning cures all.
The Vikings organization keeps failing on this front.
