We never really ran a true cover two. Most of the time we were in some form of man. But to answer your question, Nolan and BVG have different schemes |

Yeah BVG had an awful scheme, a lot of man, no blitz, and 3rd down soft zone coverages which made it easy for elite QBs to scan the field and find someone open. Nolan should mix things up a lot better.

95% of the time, are corners played in zone.....if dunta was in man, his stats would be much greater then what they are now

| I read somewhere that Nolan uses zone on the back half primarily. Can't confirm that but its what I remember. |

No we are a 4-3 team still that will show some 3-4 looks.

Very true. We have a whole slew of players who would be out of place in a 3-4. Always good to mix things up as well.

Just watched a video on the Falcons website and DL Coach Ray Hamilton compared what kind of defense we will be running to what the Jets have been running under Rex Ryan. He also went on to say our sacks will probably be more spread around instead of split between our DEs mainly. He also then went on to say when you only have 4 guys rushing the passer your sacks will be spread through the DL, but when you blitz LBs and DBs then you will get the spread of sacks we are planning on getting next season.
Didn't know if it was allowed to post a direct link to the video, but I basically summed it up. Thoughts??
