Apparently my numbers are worked out too high, so I need to divide everything by 10.

So.....

Good news.....

Fleaflicker now give me the option to create a league based on scoring with Total points.

More to come later today.

Hockey - you mean research in regards to how people did last year? I think that's highlighted when the league scoring is implemented.

Here are the proposed scoring for players.

Offense

Passing Completions = 0.1 per completion
Passing Yards = 0.1 per yard
Passing TDs = 6 per TD
Passing INTs = -6 per INT

Rushing Yds = 0.2 per yard
Rushing TDs = 24 per TD

Receptions = 1 per reception
Receiving YDs = 0.2 per yard
Receiving TDs = 24 per TD

Fumbles = -2 per fumble
Fumbles Lost = -4 per fumble lost

All this works out as follows....

Name Posiition Total Points
Drew Brees QB 825.6
Tom Brady QB 815.4
Matthew Stafford QB 701.5
Eil Manning QB 618.2
Aaron Rodgers QB 848
Ryan Fitzpatrick QB 452.5
Colt McCoy QB 338.2
Matt Cassel QB 203.1

Maurice Jones-Drew RB 691
Ray Rice RB 845.6
Michael Turner RB 576.6
LeSean McCoy RB 850.8
Arian Foster RB 699.2
Rashard Mendenhall RB 448.4
Ryan Grant RB 254.4

Calvin Johnson WR 816.4
Wes Welker WR 659.8
Victor Cruz WR 603.8
Larry Fitzgerald WR 554.2
Steve Smith WR 531
Aaron Hernandez TE 436
Rob Gronkowski TE 763.8
Jeremy Maclin WR 353
Jared Cook TE 268.8
Donald Driver WR 270
Brandon Gibson WR 149.4

Defense

Solo Takles = 5pts per tackle
Tackle Assists = 2.4 points per assist
Sacks = 15 points per sack
Safties = 30 points per safety
Pass Deflections = 10 points per pass deflection
Interceptions = 20 points per interception
Defensive TDs = 30 points per TD
Forced Fumbles = 10 points per forced fumble
Fumble Recoveries = 20 points per recovery

Which gives me the following list.

London Fletcher LB 847.5
D'Qwell Jackson LB 867.5
Chad Greenway LB 657.5
Pat Angerer LB 680
Curtis Lofton LB 790
Terrell Suggs LB 830

Interesting.

But LB compared to DB/D-line looks like they get alot of points because of tackles.

Ok - so I've tried to balance the numbers out so they match so the top QBs RBs and WRs score the same as the top defensive players.

I can adjust anything.

What would you suggest and I'll show you how the numbers work out with those changes.

They do - but then they make a load of tackles - that's what their job is right?

How would you change it?

This might just be me, but I would make it like QB are on the top of the food chain and Pass rush is number two (as far as points scored) goes. To make it more Football like.

That was my point - I want the top of each position to be balanced out and all worth the same, so if you were to draft them now, you would draft on talent at position.

Ok so Drew Brees might go #1, Calvin Johnson #2 and Shady #3.

Yes I could drop tackles down, but if you were building a franchise wouldn't you want Patrick Willis on your team as a defensive leader, and wouldn't he therefore maybe be taken higher than some other player.

If I devalue tackles (well I can adjust) then people are going to pick LBs lower down, and it will be QB QB QB QB QB QB (if they score the most points) then RB RB RB RB etc.

Which is the exact opposite of what I was trying to achieve.

I've adjusted the offensive stats.

Passing Completions = 0.1 per completion
Passing Yards = 0.15 per yard
Passing TDs = 6 per TD
Passing INTs = -6 per INT

Rushing Yds = 0.3 per yard
Rushing TDs = 6 per TD

Receptions = 1 per reception
Receiving YDs = 0.3 per yard
Receiving TDs = 6 per TD

Fumbles = -2 per fumble
Fumbles Lost = -4 per fumble lost

Now gives us.

Drew Brees QB 879.56
Tom Brady QB 835.55
Matthew Stafford QB 767.48
Eil Manning QB 652.53
Aaron Rodgers QB 891.83
Ryan Fitzpatrick QB 533.82
Colt McCoy QB 407.93
Matt Cassel QB 240.03

Maurice Jones-Drew RB 889
Ray Rice RB 989.2
Michael Turner RB 680.2
LeSean McCoy RB 815.6
Arian Foster RB 851.4
Rashard Mendenhall RB 502.8
Ryan Grant RB 365.8

Calvin Johnson WR 866.8
Wes Welker WR 821.6
Victor Cruz WR 749.6
Larry Fitzgerald WR 692.4
Steve Smith WR 695
Aaron Hernandez TE 501
Rob Gronkowski TE 723.6
Jeremy Maclin WR 435
Jared Cook TE 366.6
Donald Driver WR 251
Brandon Gibson WR 220.8
