stop Frank, stop.
just say nothing more on this. stop. a guy can't say he's "done" with something if he continues to post about it and "clarify" his position.
if you need to clarify something to nsf or any other individual member, then do it in a PM. _________________

VD, please back off. I'm a grown man, I can handle a conversation. In fact you make the thread look worse by responding to ONLY me over and over and telling me to stop. _________________ Welcome to Minnesota, Greg Jennings.

On the same day that Saints coach Sean Payton appealed his one-year suspension, Saints assistant head coach/linebackers coach Joe Vitt did the same.
Vitt was suspended six games for his role in the team’s three-year bounty system, a punishment that was imposed also for multiple instances of lying to NFL investigators about the use of bounties. If his suspension is overturned, Vitt could become a candidate to serve as the interim head coach.

The NFL Players Association told players involved in the New Orleans Saints' bounty case that there is a chance they could face criminal charges and it hired outside counsel to represent them if needed.
While Commissioner Roger Goodell weighs how to punish the two dozen or so players the league says might be connected to the bounties, the NFLPA also suggested that players have a lawyer and union representative present when they are interviewed by NFL investigators.

I agree. There is no place for a psychopath like that in professional sports. At the very least, he needs extensive psychological help. If I disagree with you on anything, it is the "maybe" his getting prosecuted criminally. Sick &*(! _________________ "No one can disguise mediocrity better than Bill Belichick." |

Way to go, NFL. Throw the book at these guys and stand by the decision. Nothing can change the damage Williams and the Saints D have already done, but punish them badly enough to make the bounty system more trouble than it could ever be worth. Hopefully Goodell has accomplished that here.
I must admit I'm kind of squeamish about anyone on the Saints' coaching staff taking over for Payton this year. Bring in Bill Parcells. There's a guy who knows how to restore order and bring a team in line. |

Former Viking Fran Tarkenton, who has added his voice to matters NFL-related for some time, appeared on CNN to denounce the actions of suspended former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. Tark added to the chorus of people who believe there is no place for people like Williams and his bounty system in the NFL.

I'd be very happy if I never have to see Williams or Vilma be part of the NFL ever again.
I just don't understand how (potentially) sooo many players were involved in this, and yet not 1 stood up and said this is wrong. How can one be so blind to follow William's way?
He had no executive power. He could release players, he wasn't the guy who made the depth chart, you can be in his "doghouse" for saying no, but you are doing the right thing. I hope those who were foolish enough get suspended/fined, and as for the others who didn't follow him, I can say I'm very proud of those few.
I hope to never see this again on my favorite sport, and that the NFL can quickly repair all damage done to their reputations from this. Again, Greg Williams makes me sick. _________________

I'm curious to see when the player suspensions/penalties are handed down, I feel like they need to be coming soon, prior to the draft, because while it might not affect how the Saints go after players in the early part of the draft (what they have of it in rounds 3 and 4), it could affect where they draft depth later in the draft. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews
