Round 1: Quentin Coples DE UNC (6'5" 281 lbs)

Ideal Size. Quick Off the Snap. Very Durable. Athletic. Versatile. Dynamic Pass Rusher.

Impressive combination of size, power and speed. Can line up on either side of the line and beat tackles with a repertoire of speed and bull rushes. He can also rush the passer from the DT position. Has red flags regarding his motor and effort thus he falls to us at #19. Most talented DE in the draft. Peppers could mentor him as they happen to share the same alumni in UNC and Coples would round out the DE position with JP, Izzy and Wooten.

Round 2: Mohamed Sanu WR Rutgers (6'2" 212 lbs)

Versatile WR. Physical. Productive. Reliable. Great Blocker. Excellent Route Runner. Locker Room Guy.

Mo was very reliable every yr at Rutgers and one of the most productive wide outs in college football in 2011 despite poor QB play. Can play at the X and Z positions, as well as in the slot. Excels in picking up yards after the catch and has a similar game to Anquan Boldin. He would be a great addition to our WR corp: B. Marshall, E. Bennett, Mo Sanu, Knox (fingers crossed), Weems, and Devin.

Round 3: Casey Hayward CB Vanderbilt (5'11" 192 lbs)

Pure Ballhawk. Quick. Productive. Great Run Defender. Solid Stature.

Hayward would fit perfectly in our defense. He is a scrappy, ballhawk kind of player that has a nose for the football. Hayward had seven interceptions, 60 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss and 10 passes broken up in 2011. Our team has a thing for Vandy players and this pick would carry on that tradition. He ran a 4.52 at the combine which impressed many scouts. Hayward be a solid addition to our defensive backs and would fight for the #2 spot and has the potential to be Peanuts successor.

Round 4: Donald Stephenson LT Oklahoma (6'6" 312 lbs)

Very Athletic. Great Feet. Nasty Run Blocker. Raw.

Projects as a LT with his size and athleticism. Allowed only one sack starting every game in 2011. Tice can mentor this guy and work on his technique because he has a high ceiling. Minor red flags regarding academic issues.

Round 5: Danny Trevathan OLB Kentucky (6'1 232 lbs)

Leader. Great Instincts. Sideline to Sideline Speed. Big Hitter. Splash Plays. Great Motor. Excellent Attitude. Solid in Coverage.

Trevethan is a sleeper in the 2012 NFL Draft. Trevathan recorded 143 tackles in 2011 with 11.5 tackles for a loss, four interceptions, five forced fumbles, five pass breakups and three sacks. He may go lower than his value because is he a little undersized (6'1" 232 lbs) but he would fit perfectly in our defensive scheme that utilizes undersized linebackers and has drawn numerous comparisons to Lance Briggs.

Round 6: Travian Robertson DE/DT South Carolina (6'4 302 lbs)

Huge. Run Stuffer. Pizza Lover.

Robertson underachieved in 2011 with 49 tackles with eight tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks. On a dynamic defense expectations were higher for him but Robertson could have been hobbled by injury. At the East-West Shrine Game, Robertson reportedly had a dominant performance, "destroying offensive linemen all week long" according to reports. He would provide depth with the loss of Okoye and would fight for a roster spot behind Melton, Paea and Toeina.

Round 7: Keith Tandy CB/S West Virginia (5'10" 202 lbs)

Strong Build. Tenacious. Scrappy. Athletic.

Former QB, Tandy holds many records in the state of Kentucky at the QB position. He converted to the defensive side of the ball in 2008/2009 . At one point looking like a mid round pick, Keith Tandy was snubbed from the combine. At his pro day, he reportedly timed around 4.43 in the 40-yard dash. Tandy is a gritty defender who fights and scraps. He had 64 tackles with two tackles for a loss, four interceptions and nine passes broken up this season. In a league that is becoming overwhelmingly pass-dominant and in a division with Matt Stafford and Aaron Rodgers, you cannot have too many DB's. If he makes the roster, Tandy will provide depth at CB, can come in on nickel packages and has the size and skills to convert Safety.

I like the Coples pick, but those brandings or whatever you call him on his arms are completely disgusting. A little bit is cool, but if your skin sticks out half an inch, you've gone too far.
