So who's gonna be the interim coach of the interim coach while the interim coach serves his suspension?

Under the terms of his season-long suspension for his role in New Orleans' bounty program, coach Sean Payton is not allowed to have any contact with the Saints organization or anyone around the NFL, and if he does, must report it to league executive Ray Anderson, a source familiar with the suspension tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

That sucks. I'm sure he has friends in the NFL circle and it kind of stinks he can't even see them now Laughing

Is ESPN an "NFL related organization?" If not then I bet he'll be on the shows way more than he should be. I hope their classified as NFL because he doesnt deserve air time.

I hope that he runs into an NFL player while shopping and someone takes a photo, just to see what happens from the NFL Laughing

Adam Schefter says if that happens and he lets the NFL know, he's fine.

Knowing Payton, he'll hide it Laughing

I do hope he's learned his lesson from this incident.

Doesn't he live right down the street from Saints owner Tom Benson? How does that work out? If he walks his dog and Benson is outside getting his newspaper, does he have to call Goodell?

Granted, Benson probably doesn't get his own newspaper from his driveway, but...y'know...what happens?

Their beach houses in Florida are close, but IIRC Payton doesn't live near Benson in New Orleans.

That's actually the pretty similar to the example Schefter gave. I think it was if Payton is out for a walk in Florida and runs into Benson, they can say Hi, shake hands, stuff like that. Then Payton has to call the NFL and tell them what was said.

Not a real good way to monitor it, but at least the NFL will know when they met. Assuming he lets them know.

From what I've seen of Payton, the only thing he's sorry for is getting caught.

I don't blame him either. I doubt this hurt his reputation much in NFL circles, and he has a nice shiny ring to help him get through a year out of football.
