Great pick fellas. I think he could start at LG. Only red flag on him is the history of back injuries.

In my opinion they are a joke. In the last ten years there drafts sucked.

Honestly I am happy with the pick, its BPA with a guy who adds depth to a weak area. The OT talent level falls off big time after him as well.

Think we have done well here gents Very Happy

Absolutely. There is a lot of tape on this guy and its clear he's meant to play with the big boys in the NFL. He has surprisingly good feet and uses his hands really well in space. I think he could be an early contributor in the ZBS offense. He has more upside then Barksdale or Barnes at the RT position. And as his record indicates he will break his back trying to learn the system. Him and Brisiel will make a stout right side. I think Barksdale gets the LG position with a year of study under Carlisle. But thats just me.

That's my view on it as well.

LT - Veldheer/Schwartz
LG - Carlisle/Barksdale/Parsons
OC - Wiz/Parsons
RG - Brisiel/Hurd
RT - Barnes/Schwartz

With LG and RT an open competition in TC.

And i'm not too familiar with Cal blocking scheme but from the horse's mouth, they run a bit of both.

The Raiders have stolen our Schwartz.

I wish our Schwartz was as big as theirs, but now we'll have to see how they handle it.

Found that in the Browns forum. Makes the pick worth it on its own Laughing

'The Schwartz is strong with the Raiders'

Brilliant.

Major drop off in talent after Schwartz just like you said, Allen and Mosely are lesser prospects by a significant degree.

Allen has talent as an LG, but big ? over his work ethic and conditioning. Schwartz is a late 2nd-early 3rd value talent compared with Allen who went about were he should have (maybe half a round early, although the run on interior linemen early move him up). Mosely is a need pick rather than value IMO, and not wanting to bad mouth the pick but I don't see him as a future starter at RT. Certainly not in the next two years anyway.

Awesome.

Bradham is gone which is bad, but expected.

Shall we start getting BBs together? I need to go to bed but will send one over in about 10 or so hours.

Hello Gentlemen. Lions AGM here.

Looking to see if you have any WRs available. We have a pick here soon. PM me.

Lions have said 148# might be enough to get us NT Sammie Lee Hill. Personally I love this deal, as he is only 25 and a very good run stuffer. Would give us all we need at DT for this season IMO and only for a 5th round pick. Thoughts.

I liked Sammie Lee Hill coming out of college, so I would be up for this - does anyone think we could get better in the draft at the position with the pick? SLH is that big bodied run-stuffer our defense needs.

Btw, sorry I have been a little bit absent on this FFMD, just been uber-busy at work. Totally love the Schwartz pick btw.

^ No problem at all, we have three yes's (myself, Heart and oakdb36).

I will talk to Detriot again, and hopefully we can get more opinions soon.

There was an early run on NTs so I don't see much left at that position in the draft.

Add me in as a yes. Small price to pay for a good, young, run stuffer. He still has some room to grow (hopefully not too much literally). I would be a fan.
