I mean in regards to the TE position. McKenz wouldn't trade a future pick. He would do his diligence to find one in the UDFA or with our next pick. The TE position isn't that valued in our offense and Palmer has never had a TE as priority target. It just appears as a weak spot on our roster.

What about Chase Ford or Lamont Bryant?

I'll post the Powell pick at the end of our time slot unless someone shows up. I'm not a huge fan but you've both been mentioning him right from the start of this thing.

Granted he hasn't put up gaudy numbers but he was a top recruit, doesn't have durability concerns, is strong at the point of attack, has athleticism, can take on multiple blockers and was a team captain. The cons aren't that big.

Bryant has been described as a "hot head" and "does not have a pro work ethic."

Personally I like

George Bryan- Best of the bunch, questionable off the field incident lowered his value
Nick Provo- Small but has the skill set to be a receiver and great work ethic, reminds me of Joel Dreesen.
Chase Ford- Much like Richard Gordon but instead of a blocker he's a receiver wit
Cory Harkey- Rated by CBS as the best blocking TE in the nation.

Apparently, the main concern is he doesn't play low enough. I guess that can be coached.

And with that pick, our draft is over.

OT Mitchell Schwartz
DE Jonathan Massaquoi
OLB Kyle Wilber
CB Trevin Wade
OLB Terrell Manning
DT Tydreke Powell

Pretty good draft imo. We've added some nice depth and competition to our D and got good value with most of our picks.

Pray Pray

Well Done! That would be a stellar draft with our limited picks. We made + value picks on almost all of our players. I see Mass and Powell being taken around where we took them. Solid group of players!

Powell will probably go undrafted. I would not use a draft on him. I was intrigued by him about 18 months ago but I moved on from him but I can't recall the exact reason why. I believe it was lack of production in addition to being overwhelmed by Chapman's fundamentals. I do expect there to be a trade on day 2 (complete hunch) so I just have a feeling Chapman will be a Raider.

Even if we get Chapman I cannot stress enough the necessity of adding another run stopping DT if for no other reason goalline packages.

Great job guys, we got great value at all our picks and took a gamble on Powell. With limited picks we did a superb job.
