Regarding Neal
| Quote: | Marc Givler
Neal is being recruited as a linebacker by Ohio State and takes what would have been Courtney Love's spot in the class. |

I love the Bosa signing. I think he'll probably move to UT eventually with his size already. I could see him getting to around 290is with a line of Spence Bosa Schutt and Washington with Pittman coming in relief ohhhh weee.. _________________

But Bosa is sweet | Nice pickup in Bosa.
With Neal, does that mean you guys are no longer in on Tim Kimbrough? I ask because his other top school was UW. #bigboybretlikesallthescraps _________________

I am not sure.
Right now we are at
Alex Anzalone & Lewis Neal
for LB
Most seemed to speculate we would take 2 OLB & 1 MLB.
Neal is probably the MLB we take.
Not sure if the plan is for 2 OLB still with the trimmed numbers.
They are still in on these guys (to what extent I have no clue though)
Jaylon Smith, Peter Kalambayi, Matt Rolin, Mike Mitchell, Chris Worley & Kimbrough.
Kimbrough still doesn't have an offer so I would assume he is a must camp for his offer kind of guy.
I actually wouldn't be surprised if they told all these guys to hold off if they were thinking about pulling the trigger besides Smith till after the summer camps.
So that will probably tick most off & trim the list down.
Me personally, I like Kimbrough. Smith however is a cut above the others. But it sounds like he may be trending ND.
The last 7-9 spots are really a head scratcher though.
Do we give a spot to another QB and then don't go after Barker, Crest & Kizer next year?
Do they hold a spot for Green at RB? or is Elliot the only RB in this class after getting 2 last year.
Still need at least 2 WR.
Still need 2 OL just to get to 3...unless they get one of the DTs to switch sides.
CB still is a bit short but it looks like they will only give up the spot for the upper tier (Hargraves, Alexander, Fuller & Mcquay)
S they seem to only have interest if it is Cravens, Bell or Dymonte.
Ideally they are able to pull Pocic, Bell, Shelton Gibson & one of Lemay, Foster, Treadwell, Quick or North for the other WR & then who knows with the other spots...Maybe they hold them till they get senior season tape. |

Don't be surprised to see Elliot end up in the secondary. He's big already and his dad is 6'6" (one of my friends went to his HS and played with him when he was a freshman). Alot of people projected him at S. _________________

him being a MLB is me assuming.
he just seems like a thumper and is somewhat slow..But he is quick to diagnose plays.
I know they recruited Elliot as a RB but I had never heard about him being on the other side of the ball.
that may be a factor in if we are still in with Green or David Williams.
I honestly wouldn't mind them going with 4 LBs if Smith is one of the other 2 & get one of those 2 RBs also...then just forget about another QB & maybe think about Billy Price being an OL recruit. If they were to the get Pocic they could be done on the lines since Montelus & Lazard verballed elsewhere. this is intriguing to me how the numbers will be navigated. they just have to be at 82...so who knows how many players decide to transfer after seeing what it is like to play with Meyer for a year. (Hankins and another player or 2 may go Pro as well). |

Nice interview with alex anzalone

| Quote: | What are you going to major in at Ohio State?
I am going to be in the Fisher College of Business as an honors student and do the three and two program to get my MBA. I will be able to come out of college after playing football with a bachelor's degree in business and an MBA. |
this was the best part of the interview. Kid has the make up to be a great player but he has the smarts tho. Great to see a scholarship player going into the business program _________________

Doubt it means much.
They told Elliot he would be the only RB in this class.
They are however still recruiting David Williams & Derrick Green.
I would guess they only take an RB if it is a big fish or if they have an available slot after the friday night lights camp.
They may try to gauge his interest as a preferred walk on or something like that. But I can almost 100% guarantee he will not get a scholly to Ohio State this year. _________________

Mike H desided he would like ND more then OSU.
Sucks a bit...
But Baugh looks like a stud and with the tight numbers, taking 2 TEs could have screwed us elsewhere...
If it came down to Mike Heuerman or Derick Green or Vonn Bell for a final spot.
I choose the non TE every time due to what we already have on scholarship at the position.
Josh McNeil is still in the fold at TE as well with this news. _________________

He was our 7th string safety. He only played on special teams but did well. Thats everything. Most Ohio State fans don't know who he is. _________________

I didn't know who he was till I did a video on him last night. Played on the D vs Akron late in the game. Had a sack.
I know why I didn't know about him. I missed the Akron game bc I was moving that week. |
