Looks like Packers will be releasing him. I would love to bring him in as safety depth and maybe even challenge DeCoud if he starts sucking during the season. He would have to pass a physical obviously due to his injury history.
If we get the Asante deal done and sign a healthy Collins, our secondary could be scary. _________________

That is if he can come back from his injury. I don't think the Packers would release him if he could play.

Yea he would need to pass our physical and prove his injury won't bother him during the season. We brought in Kelvin Hayden who was as fragile as glass, so I don't see why we wouldn't at least inquire about Collins. Low risk high reward. _________________

Your missing the point. Hayden didn't suffer the injury that Collins did. A neck injury is very serious.

I understand the gravity of the injury. I'm saying it won't hurt to work him out. If he seems healthy good for us. If not then oh well. _________________

Really sad. He was such a good player and still really young. I doubt his career continues.

If they cut him no matter what we should pick him up. _________________ Coming Soon to a Quarterback near you

Wouldn't there be high comp value for the Pack if we picked him up? _________________

He was honestly turning into one of the best and most consistent safeties of his generation, and I was one of the many football fans that was saddened to see him get hurt as bad as he did. He was fun to watch. Except against us. _________________ "John Wayne and Rio Lobo are coming up next, just as soon as Jeffrey Leonard hits into a 6-4-3." (CRACK!) if the Pack just let him walk there is probably something seriously wrong with him.. they had terrible numbers on defense last year.. if he could have helped them at all I think they would have kept him.
if he somehow checked out medically I would bring him in quickly.. i mean we were the only ones out of 14 different teams that passed Hayden medically, and signed him. _________________
