Chronic shoulder injuries. Apparently he's had issues with both shoulders dating back to high school, which gives me the idea he's off the board because of medicals. |

Amazing draft so far. | Agreed, but what the hell is wrong with him and his shoulder?
Miller is a 1st round talent, no doubt. Personally, I'm a little scared about his shoulder too. What kind of injury drops a 1st round talent to potentially the 4th round? |
I literally want to know the answer to this question. I don't get it. I get him not going in the first. I was thrilled that he didn't go in the second. But why on earth did he not go in the third? There have been enough RB's that have gone.
Another board, without any good source whatsoever, speculated that it wouldn't be shocking if a Miami player failed a drug test.... but it either has to be that or the shoulder is really screwed up, right? He's just too good to fall past all those other RBs'. Maybe Palmy will set me straight, but I don't get this fall. |

Am I the only one who doesn't care about who we draft at this point now? I just can't believe what Thompson has pulled off in this draft. I just absolutely love this year's draft. _________________

That would make sense... it would be so unfortunate for a guy with that much talent. |

| In my opinion tomorrow will probably be: a guy that can switch between de/nt (we have a starter, big woop, big boys need other big boys when they are winded), a backup QB, another RB (probably one that can catch), a future center prospect, some ol that can flip from og/c, linebacker/tight end depth |

According to twitter Miller also failed the chalkboard test with a bunch of teams at the Combine. I imagine its the medical stuff though that really has him falling. I hope we grab him - we have enough picks to take a flyer on a guy like him in the 4th.
Waldo said he can see the Packers taking OL Tom Compton with one of those comp picks. He fits what Ted likes in his mid round linemen.
We also have a void on the OL depth chart. After starters Sherrod, Lang, Sat, Sit and Bulaga we have Newhouse and...EDS? That's 7. We need at least 8. |

If we drafted Ta'amu I'd go nuts. Unfortunately I have a feeling we won't draft another DL in the next 3 rounds.
Right now we have 4 sure things on our DL: Raji, Worthy, Pickett and Hargrove.
The guys on the bubble are Neal, Muir, Wynn, Wilson and Guy
If 2 of those guys can come out strong and make the team this year, then we'll have a pretty strong rotation. I have a feeling Hargrove will exceed expectations too.
My board:
NT Alameda Ta'amu
NT Josh Chapman
CB Alfonzo Dennard
OT Bobbie Massie
CB Chase Minnifield
RB Chris Polk
OT Zebrie Sanders
DE Billy Wynn
QB Kirk Cousins
DE Jared Crick
C Ben Jones
FS George Iloka
OLB Ronnell Lewis
RB Lamar Miller
TE Orson Charles
S Duke Ihenacho (Because I want another guy from San Jose St. on our team ) _________________ Die-hard fan of the GREEN BAY PACKERS, SAN JOSE SHARKS, HOUSTON ROCKETS & the OAKLAND A'S

Where is he going to play? I don't think he's an upgrade over Newhouse and Sherrod, and he clearly isn't going to beat out Bulaga. Doesn't have guard value to me. |
Short term he'd be a nice swing tackle. The value of a player like him at this point is too great, even if he doesn't have a starting spot. Considering the amount of injuries our offensive linemen tend to get, he'd be a real nice security blanket.
It would certainly give us some flexibility on Lang. With the cap expected to be tight again next season, there is a chance that we won't be able to give Lang the salary bump he deserves. We could play Sherrod at G and have Massie and Newhouse compete for LT if that does come true.
Regardless he's a ton of value for a fourth rounder (not that I fully expect him to drop another 35 spots). _________________

IMO, We need OL depth more than anything at this point.
Would like to see a developmental C prospect (the aforementioned Jones, or Blake, and the much-mocked Molk are all excellent options, possibly Brewster)
Tackle depth would also be nice with Bulaga and Sherrod having injuries last season, hopefully none of the chronic debilitating variety. Compton from SD, Massie who will be long gone by our pick, Mosley from Auburn or maybe Potter from Boise late?
RB is not a necessity - we just spent a 3rd on Green, who is supposed to be the 3rd down back everyone keeps asking for - but some depth would be nice if he can't come back-up Starks. Turbin can't block, but has power - can't see him falling to us. Gray is a complete back, but isn't special. Polk will be long gone. How 'bout the Baylor kid, Ganaway? huge guy, fast, can catch and block. |

Hoping for Miller or Polk in the 4th. Also Ronnell Lewis if he is there, if not a guy who can play guard/center.
Would absolutely love Crick in the 6th. I think he is very underrated.
122-Lamar Miller/Chris Polk
123-Ronnell Lewis/Ben Jones
6th-Jared Crick.
Would be a very happy man right there. |

We already have Derek Sherrod as our swing tackle, don't really need another one that should be playing. And we tried Derek Sherrod at guard and that was a disaster. |
