He's got great measurables. I actually think he's a coverage safety more than in-the-box. _________________

Not from the reports I've read, and his stats seem to indicate he's more of an in-the-box safety. |

| Quote: | Among the players the Packers have brought in are a pair of safeties from the University of Maine, according to league sources.
Strong safety Jeron McMillian and free safety Trevor Coston were flown in today to meet with Packers coaches and scouts.
The 5-11, 203-pound McMillian ran the 40-yard dash in an impressive 4.56 seconds at the scouting combine and had the third best vertical leap of any strong safety at 36 inches. He was second worst among his peers in the bench press at 17 reps at 225 pounds.
McMillian was an all-conference selection who had 92 tackles, including 10.5 for loss. He had one interception. |

Was going to post this when the Packers brought him in for a visit but it slipped my mind. |

I wanted to see Josh Chapman for this pick pretty badly, injuries or not, he would have fit in well.

I guess we will find out, but those Pro Day numbers look off. I think I'd go with the combine numbers to be honest. |

Well as a safety guy this pick is a little interesting, I know the safety class this year was weak but I didn't expect this. Jerron McMillian has really good rangy a lot like Nick Collins and in past years he has shown the ball skills to be a ball hawk. I don't like his tackling technique because he likes to duck his head a lot and this good get him hurt. I personally had about five safetys ranked ahead of him but I haven't seen much tape on him as the others. I feel like he could turn into a poor mans Collins because of his range and instincts. _________________
