If Broyles is healthy for the season, our ST's is gonna be loaded with young horses. I think this is the underlying theme of our draft: Improve ST's, because our offense is elite and our defense was solid overall for the majority of the season.
A better ST's unit could've won us even more games than we did last season. _________________ Are you getting Ziggy with it? |

I don't think Gosder would do well at RG. He's pretty horrible in the run game and would get very little push. _________________

I see Jonet Green and one of the LB's on the practice squad. Or Green will be at saftey. I think Reiff is not starting and backing up Backus to start the year and will plug somewhere if someone strugles. _________________

Yeah, neither do I. I doubt he could beat out Peterman to be honest. And until I hear of a set back, Im going Leshoure as our starting HB. _________________

I don't think he's a day-one starter, either, if Backus plays the way he did the last couple of years. We're not at the point where we have to rush our rookies into anything--we kept basically the exact same core together that got us to the playoffs last year, so it's not like we need our draft class to be immediate impact guys.
Also, I don't know if they'll put Broyles on PR/KR straight away because of his ACL. In the post-draft presser they stressed that they want to rehab him slowly. It doesn't mean they won't get him involved here and there, but it's really easy to get hurt returning kicks and punts and it takes about a year before a player's change-of-direction abilities come back after ACL surgery.
The rest of the guys we drafted seem like they're going to be used primarily on special teams. Bentley will probably get in there on dime and nickel packages, but he's a small school guy that's going to take some time to adjust to the NFL.
I don't think we'll keep 11 defensive linemen and six defensive ends. At least one of those guys is probably going to get cut, and I'd bet on it being Everette Brown since Fluellen can play DE or DT.
You kept 12 DBs. That's a bit much. I'm thinking Jonte Green and Ricardo Silva are probably going to wind up on the practice squad. Same with Travis Lewis.
At some point we'll probably add a third quarterback and some interior line depth. _________________

Rough guess.
I think our OL is going to be influx because Reiff will get a starting job, the question is where and what happens with who he replaces.
We drafted a couple LBs and DBs... will be interesting to see how the depth shakes out.
I think the final DL spot will be between Andre Fluellen and Everrett Brown. In my mock depth chart, the young guy wins out.
I'd like to see us change the return duties, but for now, Logan remains there.
QB- Matthew Stafford/Shaun Hill/Kellen Moore
WR- Calvin Johnson/Ryan Broyles/Maurice Stovall
TE- Brandon Pettigrew/Tony Scheffler/Will Heller

If I had to guess I would say that Leshoure will be the primary back to start the season with Best coming in as a situational guy. The workload might be split pretty close with a little bit of Kevin Smith here and there, but I would imagine that the bulk of the run game will be Lesoure with Best as more of a specialty weapon. _________________

I think we're going to see Reiff replace Gosder on the right side for this year, then move to the left side next year barring any unforeseen circumstances.
I also think Berry is going to really step up this year and become our best corner.
I'm hoping one of the UDFA OG's we picked up (Austin, Oram, Boyle, or Barham) can push Peterman, as I don't see Gosder as much for an upgrade at RG. |

| I honestly don't think Berry will start. I see almost everyone pegging him in as the starter... An I don't see it. Dude was getting torched when he started. I think Lacey will get the nod at the starting job early in the season, if not Bentley winning the job outright. |

Honestly, I hardly ever recall him getting burned. He only gave up 1 or 2 touchdowns on the year, the first in Week 1 with a great pass/catch by Freeman to Mike Williams. Then he played really well when he took over in GB, Minny (until he got injured) and especially in the first Saints game. The second, he was solid but because of the missed opportunities everybody thinks he is terrible.
Unless Bentley has an excellent off-season which includes putting on much needed muscle to play consistently in the NFL I doubt he'll start. _________________

| IMO neither Berry, nor Lacey are going to start. I look for Mayhew to find a starter through a trade or free agency. |
