Looks like a good analysis from NFL.com. Instant contributer on ST and against the run.

Didn't he run a 4.42 at the combine?

I like this pick a lot. We finally add some must needed speed in the center of the field. Nick Collins was a burner at around 4.36, looks like we're trying to replace him with a similar player.

One thing to keep in mind here. When we drafted Nick Collins, the reaction was "What? Who?" from nearly everyone, everywhere.

That doesn't mean that he ends up as good as Collins, he is not the athlete Nick was. But hopefully he works out.

Looking around at pics of him, hes a brick!! Huge muscular upper body. I really like these types of picks. Lets us know Ted doesn't care about what the experts think, but what he feels are the best players for our team!!

Fast, strong, tackles well, excels at playing the run. Have to love all of that. Will have to develop his pass protection.

And just hope that the arrest was a 1 off situation. Sounded ok on the phone. Seems to want to focus on football. Said he went to Maine to get away from things to focus on playing. GB is a great place to do that.

Sounds like an in-the-box safety, decent pick but I prefer Morgan Burnett at SS.

In the box safety that has some serious wheels. I wouldn't say he tackles well but he is a hitter. Give him some time with Perry and he will be good IMO. Good project at safety.

small school safety with tremendous athleticism?

can't see how that can work out for us.

I think we roll with Peprah starting McMillian's rookie year. Jerron's paralells with Nick Collins are striking, but like Collins, I think he would struggle his first year or two if thrown into the fire right away. Collins took a few years to get going, I remember many on this forum (including me Embarassed ) were calling for Aaron Rouse to start in place of Nick because his first few years were that lackluster. If we sit McMillian and really mold him into a player, I think we've got a good one in a few years.

I hope Nick Collins retires and comes back to the organization to coach, assist, whatever. He'd be a big help to a player like Jerron.

I really like this. Small school safety with great speed, let that coaching staff lead him in the right way!!! Give him a 36 jersey and watch the Pro Bowls come in masses!

Maybe it is just me, but if I could I would hold off on that for a year or so. Show Nick some love baby.

I veto giving him 36. Seems too soon to me.

He's a very good athlete and the arrest incident seems to be a bit of a misunderstanding. I'm not going to call him a Nick Collins clone, but in a weak safety class this kid seems to be pretty good. Hopefully he and Burnett can form a nice tandem together.

Speaking of Burnett, I have a feeling this is the year he really breaks out and turns into a top 10-15 safety.

This is the pick with the most questions surrounding it. Too soon to tell

Not trying to disrespect Nick, but I dont think 36 should be off limits. We gave it to Nick after Leroy Butler had it, just sayin 36 has worked pretty well for our safeties.
