7th Round #225: North Carolina State DL J.R. Sweezy

He's gonna need some technical work to improve his consistency, but Sweezy certainly does not lack in the athleticism department. This is a guy I started researching a lot more after I saw his Combine numbers because it just looked like a late round Pete Carroll selection.

He posted the best Explosion rating of any 3-4 DE prospect. He's somewhat stiff in the hips, but he has an extremely high motor and I think he's going to be a guy we look back on as a steal a few years from now.

Same thing we said about Jameson Konz.

Just because a guy is a good athlete doesn't mean you can plug him wherever tickles your fancy.

If we give him a shot at the UT spot. If we try and move him to O-Line, we wasted a pick.

I could make a political joke here, about guys being in office, because they know more than us, but I don't wanna violate any rules. Laughing

Sounds like a bluegrass band. Which one plays banjo and which one plays fiddle?

Konz is a better LEO than TE imo. So I'm not sure how we can hate that. He just hasn't panned out.

Pete & John said that Sweezy was more athletic than any available OT/OG.

And Tom Cable liked him, so I trust his judgement.
