Congrats on signing Wayne Tribue! I have known Wayne since 3rd grade and am thrilled he is getting a shot with you guys. Went to high school and college with Wayne as well. First off you're getting a solid person, never will be an off field issue with him and if he weren't going to the NFL he would be going to med school right now so his learning curve won't be an issue. He is an unknown guy but has a lot of ability, here are his pro day number:
6'2''7/8
329 lbs
28 bench reps
30 inch vertical
8'10'' broad jump
4.88 40 yard dash
Pretty impressive numbers, the knock on him is that he isn't athletic enough but from watching him as a 3 year starter in high school and 4 year starter in college that he has never been over matched athletically. All the tools are there but must improve his footwork and engaging at the point of attack.
Pretty funny that our 9th grade football coach told him to quit football and join the band full time, must have motivated him just a bit with an ignorant statement like that. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! _________________

Add WR Eric Page to the list.
Another really good signing. Could contribute as a slot receiver. |

I actually had Wayne Tribue going to us in the 7th round of the Mock Draft game, does that count for points since we signed him in UDFA? _________________ Broncos-Bulls-Cubs-CU-Blackhawks |

We're actually going to be studying Osweiler as a group in the coming weeks. There is widely available tape of at least 5 of his games and I'm planning a throw by throw analysis. _________________

So far I watched one game of Osweiler and his biggest issues seem to be scaning the field and making more decisions. I saw two throws get away from him but other than that he had good accuracy especially on his short to intermediate throws. He has a huge arm and throws the ball before receivers come out of their breaks.
Overall, I was more impressed than I expected given that most people hate him. What I saw was a huge QB with a rocket arm and good accuracy. His flaws (mostly scanning the field and decision making) are easily correctable especially since he will have 4-5 years to learn behind the best QB in NFL history. |

Yeah, I wouldn't get your hopes up. It doesn't quite work like that. I'm gonna go ahead and doubt he even makes the team. |
+1. Champ clone? What he plays CB? He's not a good player and likely won't make the team.
I love comparing UDRFAs to NFL players. Make me laugh. And I'm guilty. Called Carrier a poor poor mans Jordy Nelson. _________________

I'd like to know where you saw good accuracy. I just seem him shot put balls and miss throws constantly. Throws AT the receiver as opposed to throwing where he is going to be. _________________

His size and skill set are amazing. I honestly have no idea why he went undrafted outside of him being a 1 year wonder.
Donut described his skills perfectly... Is a very tough guy who has no problem whatsoever with going over the middle and risk getting smashed by a safety. He has no fear to him at all, and i am beyond stoked he signed with us. Hopefully he shows out in camp because i really think he is going to be a solid pro.
Could you imagine having Demaryius (6'4) Robinson (6'4) and Decker (6'3) all in the lineup? I am a realist so i'm not going expecting him to be a major contributor right away, but hopefully he lives up to his ridiculous potential. Low risk, very high reward signing here.
Little fact - Gerell Robinson had 13 catches for 241 yards and 1 TD against Boise State in the Maaco Bowl... |
I only watched what little I could find on youtube. He is no doubt a tough guy willing to go over the middle, which IMO gives strength to what I said about him being a slot receiver working the middle of the field and underneath routes, then using his size to get yards after the catch. That is mostly what I saw him used as in the little that I saw of him. Am I wrong? Did he actually line up on the outside a lot |
Your not wrong. ASU lined him up all over the field, and tried to find mismatches for him anyway they could considering he was basically they're only receiving threat... But in the NFL his strength will be on the outside. He is a possession WR a lot like Brandon Marshall. They're games compare a lot...
It's seriously ridiculous this guy went undrafted... Was #6 in the entire nation is receiving yards in 2011. Combine that production with being 6'4 and 220 lbs, and you have a player that could be a MAJOR sleeper. I watched ASU more than any other team this season, so i can honestly say i know his game very well. The guy is a stud.
I wonder if there is an injury concern i missed out on...? Because i am flabbergasted that he didn't get drafted. |
Two reasons #1 - He is slow. 4.8 isn't good timed speed. #2 - Played in a spread offense so his stats are inflated. I like him, don't love him. |
You just gave me 2 bogus reasons... #1 - Robinson ran a 4.5 (which is very fast for a man his size. #2 - Do you honestly even know what your talking about? Do you know how many WR's were drafted before Robinson that also came from a spread offense?! A TON !! So your reasoning makes absolutely no sense. _________________

I saw the boise game and I thought he displayed good accuracy when he had a clean pocket. Most of his missed throws weren't a result of bad accuracy but bad decision making as he throws to covered receivers far too often. I saw 2 or 3 missed throws if I recall and all were under heavy pressure.
Like I said above I think if he can improve his football IQ and decision making he could be good. I'm not going to commit to saying he will be good because he's a high risk, raw, developmental prospect. However, if he improves on the aforementioned traits I see a good QB who is similar to Joe Flacco
Edit: I forgot to mention that on his short throws I saw him put the ball in front of the receiver to where he was. He's good at hitting his receivers in stride alowing them o pick up YAC.
This is just my opinion on him and I understand others feel differently. |

I apologize he ran a 4.62 according to three different sites, but that is besides the point. I know you have your man-crush on the dude, but there was a reason he wasn't drafted. Arizona State played behind a ton of the time and as a result guess what they had to do? Throw the ball. As a result he had inflated numbers. Does he run an NFL route tree? Does he garner seperation against press coverage? Does he find holes in zone defenses? I'm not knocking the kid, but having played college ball at CB those are kind of important to do to move on to the next level. |

| Our practice squad is going to be stacked this season. I envision two undrafted free agents making the team this year. |

Does anybody know much about WR Eric Page...? He is the size of Eddie Royal and had 125 catches ( ) for nearly 1,200 yards and 10 TD's at Toledo last season... Has had 3 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons as a WR. _________________

He's small for a NFL WR (5'9" 185lb) and not too fast (4.6 40yard) but was very productive. Had he stayed in school for his senior year, he likely would have set the college record for career receptions.
I'm interested to see how he works as a kick/punt returner.
