Quote:
Receiver Da'Jon McKnight, defensive linemen Brandon Kirksey and Anthony Jacobs and defensive back Kim Royston all are scheduled to participate, although as always, the list of invites can change because players could be offered contracts elsewhere.

The Vikings usually invite undrafted players from Minnesota schools to camp as a way of maintaining good relations with local coaches. However, it's not unprecedented for players brought in for what team officials refer to as the "call of the wild" to make the team.

The Vikings rookie mini-camp starts on Friday. The 10 draft picks, 15 UDFA signings and a handful of other rookies who will be brought in on a try-out basis will be working out and practicing in Eden Prairie.

McKnight is a good WR; he could stick on the PS.

Ya, McKnight is an interesting player. No idea what he ran in any sort of pro day or anything but whatever it was, he certainly doesn't look all that speedy on the field. Like a lot of other aspects of his game, though.

I read that he ran a 4.7. Still has PS potential.

Arizona All-Pro WR Larry Fitzgerald tweeted today that his brother, Marcus, would be taking part in the Vikings' rookie camp this weekend.

Said the tweet from @LarryFitzgerald: need u all 2 do me a big favor and wish my brother @MFitzgerald best of luck as he pursues he's dream this weekend with Minnesota Vikings.

Awesome to hear. I think Robinson has potentially elite return skills, if he can develop a feel for catching the ball and finding lanes. Physically, the guy is one of the most agile and fastest player you can find. If Robinson can develop into a premier return man and at the least, a starting nickel CB, I would be thrilled with the results of that pick. Will see if Robinson can develop the skills to be on the outside at RCB, but having a really good nickel CB isnt a bad thing, its just as much of a starter as the third LB is.

as is ideal. I think Cole is a potential starter opening day starter. i know that is looking way ahead, but his competition at MLB is only Brinkley and Elimimian as of right now. Its probably a toss up at this point, honestly.
