1. Ben 2. Leftwich 3. Batch
1. Redman 2. Rainey 3. Dwyer 4. Batch
1. Brown 2. Wallace 3. Sanders 4. Cotchery 5. Clemons
1. Miller 2. Johnson 3. Saunders
OL: 1. Adams, Colon, Pouncey, DeCastro, Gilbert
(Scott, Foster, Essex, Legursky)
DL: 1. Hood Hampton Keisel
2. McClendon Alaamu Heyward
LB: 1. Woodley Timmons Foote Harrison
2. Worilds Spence Sylvester Carter
CB 1. Taylor 2. Allen 3. Lewis 4. Brown 5. Frederick
S: 1. Clark, Polamalu
2. Mundy, Rolle
That's 45. Eight more spots to fill. 5 after you discount the kicker, punter, and long snapper. I might add a lineman on each side, a safety, a receiver, and a runningback if I were them |

Rainey won't particularly be playing RB so he for sure won't be 2 on the chart. He would be better suited as a ST on the depth chart.
Adams will be backing up Colon this year and Colon will not be moving to guard!!!! Gilbert will be at LT and Foster will be a starting guard (either side but hopefully RG)
Where is Pope?
QB - Ben, Lefty, Chuck
RB - Redman, Dwyer, Batch (3rd Down Back), Spann (Mendy after 6)
FB - DJ
WR - Wallace, Brown, Sanders, Cotchery, Clemons
TE - Miller, Pope, McCoy (Saunders after 4)
OL - Gilbert, DDC, Pouncey, Foster, Colon, Scott, Essex, Legs, Adams
DL - Hood, Snack, Keisel, McClendon, Ta'amu, Heyward, Bryant
LB - Wood, Timmons, Foote, Deebo, Carter, Spence, Sly, Worilds
CB - Ike, Cortez, Lewis (LCB in nickel with Allen kicking inside), Brown (alternative option for nickel), Frederick
S - Troy, Clark, Mundy, DCS
K - Unfortunately probably Sushi
P - Butler
LS - Warren
ST - Rainey (Slash 2.0 RB/WR/KR/PR/Gunner)
Swap in Saunders after 4 weeks and Mendy also maybe after 6 weeks. _________________

1.) You don't seem to understand why Rainey was brought in. Rainey will see from scrimmage action a lot because he can catch out of the backfield which is something only Redman has shown he can do and even then it's been paultry...
2.) You really expected Mendenhall to be ready at Week 7?! That is cray. _________________

I agree with Mighty Joe Young and yes, I expect Mendy to be on the pup list and to be on the roster in week 7. He may be inactive, but he will be on the 53 man.
By the 7th game of the season, it would have been 10 months since Mendy tore his acl. I think he and Hamilton should be back by then but might not be actively playing yet.
The only difference I have I guess is that I think Clay will be on the rostrr instead of Span and Lewis will be starting at CB, not Allen. _________________

He will not because I don't feel he will be trusted in pass protection due to his very diminutive size and strength. I also highly doubt he did much pass pro at Florida. Would you want someone who is 5'8 180 taking on a 250lbs Linebacker? I don't.
Batch will be the 3rd Down Back due to his receiving ability of course, but also because of his very good pass protection having been in a 3rd Down offense almost his entire time at Texas Tech. Also, his larger size offers more between the tackles.
Rainey may line up next to/behind Ben in some plays but that doesn't make him a Running Back as he will effectively be a receiver who just happens to be stood in the backfield. My main contention was with Badfish listing Rainey as the 2nd RB.
Rainey may get some touches running but I just don't see them coming up the middle.
Also, the only reason I chose Spann was just because Redman and Clay are the same player (except Clay is less athletic). Just thought Spann might offer something slightly different to the others. Not overly important though cos I doubt the 4th back sees the active roster anyway. _________________

Quit asking me tough questions, that I am not prepared for!! I didn't really think that one through. I believe Pope played some fullback.
Tossups: Paulson over DJ, kicker, Rolle over DCS and Allen, Bryant or Woods or how about Ikponmwosa Igbinosun, since he has an awesome name! Might switch him in. Also, Im a Lindsey fan so might somehow find a spot for him!

i love it all BUT at FB i would still like to have johnson there. i have some hope in J.Johnson at QB. and maybe Bryant switched with Woods or someone else, if i get to be picky, but not really going to complain if this happens |

Haha, ah right cool. Speaking theoretically of course, if he was the H-Back it would at least give a receiving option from that position. Just as long as it wouldn't take away from his main use IMO which is blatantly his height in receiving.
What is Pope like as a blocker? _________________

1) No one knows for sure what their plans for Rainey are yet, so Im not sure how you can blindly make that assumption. Obviously he has that capability, but I wont be shocked if he is mainly relegated to special teams this year with a couple touches a game.
2) What is Mendenhall's current status? I assume you know since you are basically claiming there is no chance he will be ready. Not saying he will, but unless you know where he is at in his rehabilitation, you cant say for sure. _________________

Rainey won't be in our backfield very much, if at all. He's 5' 8", 174 lbs! At that size he's not going to be able to pass protect against rushing LB's who are 60 lbs heavier than he is.
He was picked to be a return guy, special teams player, and maybe a gadget play guy. That's pretty much it. |

Rainey will be used like Darren Sproles is used. A few carries a game, screen plays and I think he will be used as a slot wr. He also will definitely be the kick off and punt returner, allowing antonio brown to become a full time wr. _________________
