The 10-year veteran posted career highs across the board in his first season in Washington last season.

Gaffney recorded 68 catches for 947 yards and 5 TDs in 2011 but the Redskins added a couple of receivers in the off-season which made the 31-year old Gaffney expendable.

One possible team who ha experience with Gaffney and might look to sign him are the Patriots who have been trying to upgrade their receiving corp throughout the off-season.

I assume they will play Kirk Cousins out wide.

He fits the "reliable third/fourth option" archetype.

I know they have quite a few WR's, any idea what their depth chart looks like? Between Garcon, Moss, Morgan, Hankerson, Armstrong, RG3 definitely has options.

I'd say Garcon and Moss start, but Morgan and Hankerson play a good amount of snaps. If Hankerson turns into a good reciever, they have a good future with him, Morgan and Garcon, plus Fred Davis.

I'd take a shot on him if we had the room

I'm not sure how he'd fit with the other receivers on the roster but I'd prefer him over Naanee.

I thought he was getting traded for Steven Jackson, Mike Jenkins or Aqib Talib since he put up such godly stats last year?

Wouldn't mind the Bills taking a look at Gaffney, in fact I'm hopeful we do. We've been looking for a veteran WR all offseason and I didn't know that Gaffney quietly almost had a 1000 yard season last year until now. We missed out on Meachem and I wouldn't mind seeing what Gaffney could do for a year.

Bruce "freakin' Allen. One of the best GM's in the league

Even it it's a Player for Player swap from someone.

If anyone can get a draft pick for Jabar Gaffney, it's GM Bruce Allen.

Yeah you may need to calm down just a little bit.
