really enjoyed this read. thought it was pretty interesting that he singled out Beeler as the most intelligent guy on the team. I would love to see Beeler play well and be our center _________________

Yeah, Beeler for me has been easier to forget about, but he really could be the future at C we have been wanting. Smart, very strong... just needed to add more bulk and acclimate himself. Picking Slowey might be a ding against the confidence we have in Beeler.. I don't know... but maybe they just want to push the competition to the extreme. _________________

Iron sharpens iron. |

I think it's the latter. Look at the WR position.. we are going to get the absolute best out of Crabtree, Moss, Manningham, and Jenkins with all of that talent and so few balls to go around. _________________

Slowey could end up beating out Beeler, but if he doesn't, he could back up all three interior linemen spots, just like the loser(s) of the RG competition. That's interesting depth.
A dream come true for me would be one of the young guys (Beeler, Kilgore, Slowey, even Mike Person (whom I like less than the others, for no particular reason)) could beat out Goodwin, so we'd end up cutting him. We'd save 4 millions and not have to suffer from watching him not block anything. _________________

Haha, yeah... not much love from me for Goodwin. I think he's pretty lazy. _________________
