Welcome to the First Annual (and hopefully not final) Chiefs Forum Hall of Fame Ceremony! What is this, you say? Why, this is a place to recognize the posters that have graced the presence of the Football's Future Chiefs Forum. This is modeled after the Patriots and Eagles Hall of Fame. Read on for further details!



What is the point of having a Hall of Fame for a forum?
There have been numerous posters on this forum that have contributed to quality discussions over the course of the board's duration. This is the place to recognize what they've contributed to the Chiefs Forum.

Sounds kind of cool. What are the criteria for Hall of Fame candidates?
The only criteria is that you have made one post in the Chiefs forum. That is it. There are no specific parameters to being nomination-worthy or induction-worthy, it is up to the voters to decide if the poster is worth it. You can choose whichever method you want: if you know there's been a poster around who keeps bringing up good talking points, feel free to nominate them. If there's been a poster who you think is funny, feel free to nominate them. Or if there's a poster who has an awesome sig, feel free to nominate them. Anything goes.

You mention voters. How does voting work? Is there a select committee?
There is no select committee for Chiefs Forum Hall of Fame candidates. Any Chiefs poster is free to vote, regardless of tenure on the board.

How does the voting process work?
There will be an initial period where posters can nominate (via PM) to the Curator (aka Desmond) who they'd like to see included in the voting process. Typically this will be only one nomination for every annual event, but since this is the inaugural Hall of Fame meeting, three nominations can be submitted via PM.

After the nominations have been collected, any poster with at least one nomination will be tossed into the voting pool. The first round of voting will be conducted after this. The first round of voting will take the top five candidates with votes, and move them into the second round*. The second round of voting will whittle this number down to the final three candidates**.

From there, the final candidates will be inducted, and can give speeches of whatever they want. The speech is optional, and doesn't have to be serious. Their names will be included in the Chiefs Forum Hall of Fame, and they shall live on forever***!

Does this mean non-Chief posters can't get inducted?
Actually, any FF poster can be inducted into the CF HoF. The question is whether or not the voting populace decides they are worthy enough. Only Chiefs posters can make votes, however.

Do they have to be a current Chiefs poster?
No. If they have posted at any time since the Chief Forum's inception, they are eligible for nomination. They do not have to be active.

What is the schedule like for this?
Nominations can be collected now. I will post the schedule later. The nomination process will run for six days, and will cease at 11:59pm CST May 8th, 2012.

Can I post nominations in this thread?
You can, but they will not be counted. To ensure they will be counted, please PM them to me. You may publicly post nominations if you want people to know who you want to see nominated.

*If there is a tie for fifth-place, such as two or more members sharing that slot, those members will be moved to the second round.
**If there is a tie for third-place, such as two members sharing that slot, both members will be inducted. If there are more than two members sharing that slot, a third round of voting will be conducted.
***If a poster is discovered to have received improper benefits from a booster club, the Hall of Fame reserves the right to strip the Heisman, errrrr, Hall of Fame induction from the poster.

I nominate we retire [PLEASE DON'T TALK ABOUT BANNED MEMBERS] jersey in honor that even people with learning disabilities and social ailments can achieve something....even if it's getting banned....twice.

I will reveal two of my nominations, since they haven't posted in a while: chiefsxfanx88 and chief_fan822003. Tremendous posters who have found lives outside of FF (somehow). They are two big reasons I started posting on FF, and I've been fans of them for a while.
