| As much as I want to say we should have drafted DeCastro, The verdict is still out on my part whether or not Shea will be the better prospect. Especially he is more likely to make and impact with guys around him like Peppers, Briggs, and Urlacher. Rather then Guys like Webb and Spencer (No disrespect) |

1 DE Chandler Jones
2 WR Alshon Jeffery I believe we still could have gotten him at 50 If not Reuben Randle here
3 CB Jamell Fleming went one pick later
4 OLB Keenan Robinson
5 FS George Iloka
6 OG Brandon Washington
7 DE Cam Johnson _________________ Adopt a Bear:

I bett there was no way in hell the bears would have gotten Jeffery if they stayed at 50. Another team would have traded up to grab him after Hill went to the Jets. Im glad the Bears made that trade _________________

exactly...Once Hill was off, the Bears were all over it..I wondered if the Bears moved up to get Hill but still had Jeffery on the radar. I am personally glad they traded to moveup and grab Jeffery..Sorry but to me it is a big deal what they did in college. i dont care about combines, that has very little to do with football instincts. Alshon is a beast - to me- if it wasnt because of his usual playing weight (which for some odd reason he was amazing still) - people THIS GUY WOULD HAVE BEEN #2 wide reciever - even over Floyd.. _________________ In regards to Cutler:

He was very productive his last yr with 850+ yds and an average of 26+ yds per catch. This is outstanding production. It is a very good question as to whether the Bears tried to get him. BUT I have been a huge fan of Alshon since last yr and am very glad we got him.
The whole weight issue is total baloney started by the usual busybodies. He was never too big for his height and, in fact, he probably should play aroiund 230. |

Hill numbers are a bit misleading because he had allot of bomb catches..What is he going to be like when there is no bomb, can he go over the middle, is he strong enuff to muscle a catch (i think he could), how are his hands in tight spots. this is one thing I did hear about that as much bomb catches he had, he dropped allot of balls. I would have been okay with Hill as the pick but I never wanted him over Jeffery.. _________________ In regards to Cutler:

I LOVE a thread like this! Ok, so I will have to explain a couple of things here with my changes to our draft.
1- I'm not going to criticize the McClellin pick. I am just going to go with that one and give Emery the benefit of the doubt to just see what happens there.
2- I'm going to draft based off of what the apparent perceived needs were by what we DID draft.
1- McClellin
2- Alshon Jeffery(by far the best pick of the draft)
2/3- Trade our 3,4 picks to move back late 2nd/top of the 3rd and get Trumaine Johnson. If we are going to go CB I'd rather try to hit it big instead of getting multiple guys that I don't think will ever be impactful
6- Danny Trevathan LB Kentucky
7- Vontaze Burfict LB...everyone know him, do I really need to do any explaining here? _________________ Here's to hoping Emery is NOTHING like Angelo. |

It depended on the time of day as to which one I preferred I love both of them. |

Yeah, I wanted to stay true to what we drafted, but not putting an Olineman in any draft makes my soul die a little every time. _________________ Here's to hoping Emery is NOTHING like Angelo. |
