Was just coming here to post this. Brandt seems to have a very different opinion about this class than Goose.
Some quotes from the article for those too lazy to read it:
| Quote: | | From what I saw last weekend, this is Jerry Jones' and the Cowboys' best draft class since 2005. It's highly likely that nine first-year players could see game time this season. |
| Quote: | | Wilber ranks very high in competitiveness and recognition -- two top qualities for his position. If he doesn't win a starting job this year, he will make the player in front of him better. Look for him to be a very good and possible Pro-Bowl player in the NFL. |
| Quote: | | Keep an eye out for Memphis guard Ronald Leary. The undrafted free agent may have a chance to start in 2012. |
He also says good things about the other draft picks, including calling Matt Johnson a potential starter, but these were the most glowing reviews. _________________

2 respected guys with 2 different opinions. If Leary becomes a good player, it would boost up my grade for this draft class by at least a full grade. _________________ Quote from May 7, 2013...

On May 9th, 2013, Brian Price was waived by the Dallas Cowboys. |

I think it's worth noting that Goose isn't particularly down on the picks, just that he doesn't see them starting *this* year.
Goose *is* down on the trade, which he thought excessively costly for the team where it is. _________________

Goose wrote an article a week or two before the draft basically saying, "One of the primary reasons that Dallas hasn't been up to standards over the last decade is misuse of their second round picks. They've gotten Sean Lee, Andre Gurode, and virtually nothing else. Don't worry about the 14th overall pick- they'll get a good player there. It's the 45th overall pick that they need to make good use of."
Obviously getting not even using that second rounder was precisely what Goose advised against. _________________
