Elway said before the draft that you can never have enough good CBs. What would you guys think of this move? We'd have a depth at CB with Champ, Porter, Bolden and Florence. _________________ big_palooka:

I have never heard of this cat. Depth is good though, of course. _________________ Ninja stealth muggers in the Bellagio has left me in a state of congitive disonance... |

I know he is a vet...was on the Chargers back in the day, right?
Don't know anything about his level of play at this point.
But right now I am assuming our top 4 corners are Champ, Porter, Harris, and then Bolden/Vaughn? Which I think is solid. Depth is always nice though, as you said. _________________ RIP Darrent Williams |

Special teams fodder surely.
Champ has the number 1 job sewn.
Harris will be the nickel.
Porter is highly likely to be number 2 unless Bolden has a great camp.
Bolden probably number 4.
I guess we will keep 5 or 6 CBs with the last 2 mainly playing special teams. Florence makes sense because he has experience playing on the outside and we have 2 injury prone starters.
If we can add him I'm a lot happier with our corners as opposed to last season. As well as upgrading RCB, we'll have THREE backups who can play on the outside, as opposed to just Cassius last year. _________________

Florence had a pretty nice year in the slot last year. I think he would go head to head with Chris Harris for Nickel duties. Only problem is I don't think Florence offers much on Special Teams, and you don't carry 30+ CB's as your #4 CB that don't play Special Teams. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

A few days ago, a saw that the general view in the Bills' forum was that they were sad to see him go. Although he's never been too special -especially not at this point in his career- for the right amount of money, bring him in. _________________

And has missed a few games the last 3 or 4 years, and is always getting these niggles that nearly hold him out of games. _________________

He has missed 4 games in 3 years. So I wouldn't consider it a problem. _________________ RIP Darrent Williams |

Although he didnt miss any games, Champ certainly was injured quite a bit over the past couple years
Bailey playing with a bum hamstring last year, a bum ankle the year before, elbow injuries, rib injuries, and groin.
Hes done a good job getting to the field but lets not act like hes been healthy, because he hasnt. Hes been hurt almost every year. _________________

That's true. It hasn't been a problem, but it could be. Let's hope not. _________________ RIP Darrent Williams |

I wouldn't mind signing him, but i absolutely love Chris Harris... He statistically one of the best nickel CB's in the entire NFL last season. Also had the highest tackle rating on PFF of any CB in the league.
I just see no point. But it's never a bad problem when you add good players. I'd just rather Harris be our nickel. _________________
