Outside of the off-the-field stuff, it's not as bad of a comparison as you think. Young was a MUCH more accomplished passer coming out of college, accomplished more in terms of what his team did and what he did individually. Better completion percentage, better in yards/season, more TD passes/season...
On the numbers, it's not too far off to see what he's saying. Hardly trolling, if you ask me; Young was the better college player and Locker simply hasn't done nearly enough in the pros to base it off of that. I don't agree with him (I actually like Locker...well as much as I can like a Titans player, that is) but the only moments in which you can compare the two - Young was better.
And I HATE Vince Young. With a bloody passion.

Agreed. Their playing styles are different, their attitudes are different, and Locker isn't a bonehead.

Whaa VY compared to Locker? That's ridiculous not saying he will be the most skilled QB taken last year, but I think he will be the most successful. |

As I said earlier - if you're going off of college production, he DOES have a case. A very thin case, one that can be easily dismissed...but a case nonetheless. In college, Young was the better passer and the better runner. In terms of completion percentage - Locker's best season in completion percentage would of been Young's worst season in completion percentage, and it isn't like Young was overly known for his accuracy...
I'm eager to see what he has to say on it as well. I don't agree, but should be a compelling read.

VY was far better than locker in college. Locker wasn't even that good of a qb at washington. He got drafted based on his physical tools. VY might not be a good qb anymore, but during his time in Tennessee they were 2 games under 500 when they played and 15 or 16 games over 500 when he played. |

If you're going to base that entirely off completion percentage, ok - Vince's numbers were better at Texas. I would say the fact that Vince played in a dumbed-down spread option offense with pro talent all around him was an enormous factor. Comparing that to Locker playing in Sarkisian's pro-style offense with very little NFL talent around him seems pointless.
