I'm talking about spending a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round pick on a QB to be groomed to succeed Drew Brees. I have seen a couple very early style mock drafts that have the Saints picking Landry Jones in the mid to late 20's in next season draft. Will that be when the Saints finally make a move to produce the next Saints general? _________________

I would say it will definitely be within the next 3 years. _________________

| Tough to say. I think that Brees still has five good years in him. So I would say wait about three years. |

If he signs a 5 year deal, which I suspect is what they'll come to terms on I think we draft one in year 3 of the deal. _________________

Seems about right. I wouldn't mind bringing in some guys with physical tools just to see if they could develop. Low risk-possibly high reward type guys. _________________

I also think they've kept Chase around for a reason. If we wait to draft a guy, I'd have confidence in him keeping the team in the playoffs for a season. _________________

I don't know that Chase could lead them to the playoffs, but I don't think they Saints would totally crumble if Brees went down. _________________

I think he'd be able to snag us a wild card spot. _________________

If losing Brees was the only thing that went wrong that season, then yes. But that's pretty unlikely. _________________

I didn't mean this season, I meant in like 4-5 years. _________________
